+EveryZEPalbum Most fans think either the lineup consisting of Dave Mustaine, David Ellefson, Marty Friedman, and Nick Menza, or the lineup consisting of Dave Mustaine, David Ellefson, Chris Poland, and Gar Samuelson is the best. My personal favorite is the second one i mentioned. I love the first 3 lineups almost equally but i was never really a fan of Chuck Behler. I will say that Jeff Young is underrated though.

rollforeverderbs Yes, my favorite is the 3rd lineup..Rock in Rio 2 was an amazing, and Wembly..Essen was good for the 2nd lineup..These guys are always so amazing..but Rock In Rio is my favorite so far(Video) I never got to see them live:(

My favorite! So far...so good has an element that sets it apart. Young's leads were a breath of fresh air after the first 2 albums.

not the heaviest in terms of their guitar tone but imo they were the most furious and most dangerous band in the 80s. why do you think most people at the time didnt fuck with dave lol dave was too fucking metal for kerry even he said it himself. i listen to destruction, testament, slayer, sodom, exodus, overkill, nuclear assault, only early metallica. and imo peace sells and KIMB honestly are the most furious album out of all the albums i listen too.

Devils Island takes the cake for this whole show. That spoken intro was so fucking cool, even if it’s just the first few lines of the song

@@RuffisInc I don't agree. There are lots of quality small details, in his playing. And a couple of songs on the album end with massive and awesome drum breaks.

Outstanding performance! Always thought Jeff Young was tragically underrated. He's the Jake E. Lee of Megadeth. Sandwiched between two phenomenal, high profile shredders, he only had a limited time to shine. Still he kicked ass. Whole band is on point for this one!

Charles Leon he was never Daves first choice,some dick blagged has way into the band and when it came to laying down his tracks he said"oh ill be ready soon my guitar teacher is teaching me how to play" but studio time was booked plus a tour so dave got his guitar teacher Jeff young to join ad a last resort.its in his autobiography

Charles Leon it wasn't Pam. Jeff was given the boot for trying to bone Dave's girlfriend at the time, or so the story goes. I've heard rumors that is why James McDonough and the band parted ways.

Man, SFSGSW was my first Megadeth album and I blown away by Jeff's solos, he deserves more recognition, and I don't believe what Dave said about teaching him those solos or whatever. So Far So Good So What? Is a damn good album and definitely in their top 5, but hardly compares to their holy trinity, Killing Is My Business And Business Is Good, Peace Sells... But Who's Buying? and Rust In Peace. If it only had less filler on it, it would easily be their second best.

In My Darkest Hour wasn't written for Cliff. Yes, the melody was composed under the Mustaine's impression of Burton's death. But the whole song is not about him.
