You know, it's funny- Dave says that 1.) He invented thrash, and 2.) He's the best rhythm guitar player in the world, along with James Hetfield. You'd normally think that was just egomaniacal boasting; but, the more you read about the history of thrash, Dave's influence on Metallica's original sound and Metallica's consequent spawning of the scene, and learn about what he's actually doing as a rhythm player, the more you come to appreciate that no, it's not a boast, it's just straight up facts.

Phil Grundy you can actually somewhat hear the vocals 😂 rock on my friend 🤘🤘
You know, this video is awesome. But I just finished watching a live Metallica video of the same year, and Metallica had a much bigger stage with a bigger crowd, and it makes sort of feel saves pain. It must of been tough knowing that his past band was playing stadiums while he's still building his band up. Glad he left though, Megadeth is my favorite band ever.

Staduims??! They were opening up arenas for Ozzy. Huge difference between arenas and stadiums. By the Megadeath's third album, they were opening arenas as well.
Man, at his peak, no one could touch Dave.
Now this is how I remember metal without the lasers and flashy lights of success. These where my favourite times for metal. Peace sells and so far so good so what are my favourite albums. Killing is my business is awesome too 💀

I love when Dave played with a BC Rich
Dude, how did these guys manage to function so well on-stage (i.e. playing very well etc) whilst being totally out of it (i.e. high, strung-out etc) for the entire tour ? ! It's just crazzzzzy ! Lunaaaatic ! Manic to the nth degree !

Yeah I always kinda wondered that too. And Chris seems like such a mellow dude. And I have watched every 80s-90s Megadeh interview ever and Dave really never seems that out of control (strung out or high)

Must've been because they had a great job to go to. Regardless of the wear and tear of playing all the time.

Its a lot easier than you think. As a musician that has done tours while being on heroin its easy to play high..its actually fun. Playing music is second nature to a pro...now playing dopesick on the other hand is a whole different story...THAT SUCKS!! haha Not condoning drug use just replying.

@@OutletManagementGrp Hello My Friend. As a 20 year heroin/meth addict (not proud of it by any means, but...) I will say you are exactly right. Playing while tweaked is one of the funnest things in the world and so many people don't understand if you have been doing heroin for any length of time the problems come when you take away the heroin. You literally need it to function.
That Devils Island performance was intense. I believe this was when the band was the most extreme and passionate.
Fuck, they've got all their best classic songs on this playlist

What about looking down the cross and good mourning/Black Friday?
Wow, I didn't know Dave played most of the leads on the peace sells album. I love the leads on that album.
Dude Dave is a fucking wizard he is hand is moving so fast while is mailing these licks he is singing and then when comes in for solo he fucking rips it
Mechanix played even faster than the album with twice the skill of Mteallica's version. Gar is a beast! Take that Lars!
Crazy to see them play these iconic songs in such a small venue. Wish I could have been there!
This is gold! People forget what a Legend is Dave on guitar both Rhythm and Lead. From the 2-4-7 stretch on Conjuring while he sings to the Yngwie arpeggios (before Yngwie) on Last words to bending on the neck pickup rails to get the high notes on Loved to Death......Simply Legend.
This was by far their most talented and sophisticated line up
unforgettable moment in metal history
I will be 47 next week, but I will never forget the first time I saw Megadeth, over 30 years ago, one week after this show, in Providence,RI, at the living room! greatest Fucking show ever! thank u Dave, Dave, Chris,Gar and whoever put this here for letting me relive my past!
Man I seen this show at fitzgerald's in houston tx. I was 15 the most amazing and personal show I have ever witnessed. That dude to this day still blows me away on his guitar skills. Thank you Dave for all you have given the metal scene, a true pioneer.

This is so amazing to watch... Ty!
My favorite version of megadeth, in fact if i could be at any megadeth show it would probably be this one... The intimate setting, the great sound, the energy is really on point and a hell of a perfornance
Got to say we grew up enjoying great pure metal music.
Thanks for this video
Gracias por subir esta reliquia 🙏
Have watched only 5 mins, and already added to favourites. Amazing bootleg.
that first lineup was legendary
This is awesome! Thanks megadethized!
What an amazing set list of songs
Nothing is more metal than an intro from a bald guy in a Members Only jacket! : P
Chris has a very interesting picking style.
my favorite thing right now is this!!! ..thanks for the upload!!!!
Thanks for the upload! The band was on point that night. As always!!!
Unbelievable piece of history here. The solo on My Last Words is my favorite Dave solo and also my favorite song. Played to perfection here. The whole band is on fire. Thanks for posting!!

Dave at the height of his guitar powers here. As soon as the BC Rich Bich left, so did his interest in playing lead guitar. There were a few moments after this, but not many, and no Megadeth show after 1988 would have him playing this much lead guitar. Every guitar has a soul, and that particular guitar brought out the gnarliest riffs in him. I wonder where it is today.
I live right down the street from this venue. They still bring in good acts from 80s rock scene.
Bout time you got this one up! Maybe my favourite concert of theirs, My Last Words/Mechanix/Loved To Deth on this are breathtaking!
Badass concert, thank you for sharing!
