One of my favorite MTV videos, it was always on Headbanger's Ball Friday nights. Once Guitar World came out with the guitar transcription, you could follow along 5he thrashing so much better.

This lineup was so tight. I saw then on the Youthanasia tour and they were awesome.

this was tour with Iron Maiden - great concerts!

I was lucky enough to get to see MegaDeth for the first time during the legendary Clash Of The Titans tour. Alice In Chains (Facelift) was the opening act followed by Anthrax (Persistence Of Time), MegaDeth (Rust In Peace), and Slayer (Seasons In The Abyss) all playing their headlining setlists. I was 16, and it was my first proper metal show (I had previously been to a local country music festival called June Jam which was created by the local country superstar group Alabama) and a Skid Row/Guns 'n Roses concert held at a muddy horse racing track haha CotT was a mind bending experience to say the least. The tickets were a whopping $19 each lol Good times 🤘

Maybe it was different with you but they certainly all didn't get to do a headline set when I seen clash of the titans. In uk it was slayer,megadeth,testament and suicidal tendencies

January of '91. My very first show.Kingston Armory. I'm a senior in high school. It's Wednesday in the middle of Finals week. Me and two best friends go to see Megadeth and Judas Priest. Rust in Peace/Painkiller tour. It's the night we declare war on Iraq for Desert Shield. Dave dedicates this song to Sadam Hussein. Epic

I saw them play this the year before, up north in the Manchester Apollo, shithole of a place in a rough arse neighbourhood but a great venue with good sound. They were awesome playing this, so much confidence and swagger. Totally dominated the place. I saw them again in the same place in 2009, it was a bit nicer in fairness. They were supporting Judas Priest. Still a really really good live band. Less of the arrogance of youth and even better ability I guess, sadly the drummer, Nick Menza in your reaction has passed away now. Great reaction again guys.

This track is one of THE greatest, hardest, most aggressive, most killer tracks ever written. I thought so when I first got the [Rust in Peace] album back in 1990, my sophomore year of high school, & I think so now. Out of all the great Megadeth tracks, my personal top 3 are: 1-Tornado of Souls 2-Holy Wars 3-Washington is Next Favorite line-up: Dave Mustaine[lead vocals/lead & rhythm guitars], James Lomenzo [bass, backing vocals], Glen Driver[lead/rhythm guitars], Shawn Drover [drums] BEST line-up: Mustaine, Menza, Friedman, Ellefson R.I.P Nick Menza

Saw them live in Billings, Montana, right in front, amazed how Dave could play & sing at same time!

Megadeth 1992 in My darkest hour at Hammersmith live I think was the best song they did you guys got to check it out

I was 22 when this happened and already a fan after 5 years. It is so heartening to see a new generation of folk appreciating this music for what it was. Competition was so fierce back then to sell Vinyl and tickets. I try to imagine my parents going through the same with The Beatles, Budgie, Presley and the Infinite Being 'Tom Jones' - I would love to add 'Queen' but sadly there were way too many Jim Reeves albums in their collection for that !

My fave drummer of all.time bro. Sadly he died. On stage playing with Chris Poland, Megadeths first guitarist on first two albums. Mick Menza was amazing! I've seen them six times. Even though I'm a guitarist I wouldn go to watch Mick

But Nick's tenure in the band was significantly longer, and he most certainly had a particular feel where, even in the most mid tempo songs you still felt like you needed to keep up with him.

The Drum Cage with hanging cymbals either hanging on poles , or chains were pioneered by bands like Queensryche , Slaughter , and Stryper as early as 1987 . But yeah Menza's Drum Cage was pretty nice in 1992 .
