2019 was the year predicted to be the future in movies such as the original Blade Runner and Akira. I've been fascinated by the cyberpunk genre ever since I discovered it and it's influenced my style. I initially wanted to name this movie "Cyberpunk 2019", but decided against it since I felt it'd be too corny, plus I'm about 50 million dollars short of a cgi budget that would allow me to make it in to "real" cyberpunk. In any case, I hope you enjoy the video and do let me know your thoughts in the comments section.

This movie was shot between 2016 and 2019 around Asia, using a few different camera models and lenses. For the timelapse sequences, I usually used Olympus em10 or Sony a7r2, then edited with the help of LRTimelapse. For the street scenes, they were shot mostly on Sony a7iii with the camera mounted on a gimbal. Edited and color graded on Premiere Pro. MulliganBrothers I don’t think a lot of colour grading is required. I’ve taken some stills at several of the Hong Kong and Osaka locations from the same angles, and they look very similar in tone and feel. Suffice to say, I like this guys’ eye!
The buildings are above the clouds, wonderful!

Oh yes, knew I forgot to mention at least one city. And I know what you mean, I grew up in rural Finland and it was quite something when I first arrived in Hong Kong some years ago.

@@teemujarvinen804 Exactly same feeling. I grew up in Karjala, in a small city and when I came to Asia, I just got enchanted and captivated by these lights. Now I live in Shanghai.

I'm loving the blade runner vibes here! Quick suggestion, a great futuristic feeling spot in Singapore is ontop of the Pinnacle Residence's 50th floor where u can timelapse not above but amoung the skyline of Singapore and see the colourful linear lights which clad the futuristic buildings emit into the hazy clouds. Its my profile pic. I've timelapse there before, worth a visit for these type of videos

Dude, can you make a video, like 20 minutes, cinematic street, but without cuts/edit/speed etc, just natural, (ofc you put the best views) It can make a great chill background, you would be the first one to make it, btw your videos are andsomes :D

Yep. But still one of the best developed cities
Too many conflicting themes. Should have stuck with the HDR slo-mo night scenes distant shots, or the normal time street level shots with people. Either or would have worked much more consistently.
