They are nice looking rods. I return mine for the reason. I’ve have a friend who told me they were horror. Show to get any warranty work done on, especially if it’s a breakage on a rod. good luck to you with the rod I hope you catch many big fish.

didn't get any of them because i didn't liek the stinger tips . but grip is very nice hold to it i liked that. i found the models mainly tip heavy with the lighter reels. did you find that?

Thanks for watching! I put on two different reels just now to compare - 2500 Tatula MQ and 3000 Vanquish. Balances very nice. Only thing i hate is that they dont have hook keepers. That is one of the biggest downfall of JDM rods.

What's a good reel to pair with this?

Thanks for watching! I’ve paired it with a Tatula MQ and it balances perfect. Will try the vanquish later on and report back but so far, the tatula mq pairs exactly where the blank meats the grip.

They make good looking rods. I tried my first Megabass as a Levante shakyhead rod. Liked it so figured I'd get the Orochi version and it'd be all that more sensitive. It really wasn't. The action is perfect for weightless senko and that sort of fishing, but it's really not that much more sensitive than the Levante or my Zodias. My Expride is much more sensitive. To me you get a Megabass rod for the looks and actions, the sensitivity really isn't good for the price range they sit at. Curious how these Orochi X10's would pan out. Just my opinion of course, but my advice for people is to stick to the Levante, the Orochi XXX isn't worth the extra cost.

Thanks for watching! I am on the opposite of the fence... For a long time, I had several of the Orochi XX rods - tour versatile, luke clausen (when he use to be part of megabass), swingfire, launcher and ronin. I then tried the Levantes and didn't like the sensitivity on them. However, I don't believe the destroyers are worth the price tag. From the Orochi XX to the Destroyer, there wasn't that much of a jump for me to justify the $200 difference.

i have both.. the levante and the orochi.. to me, the orochi is way more sensitive than the levante. worth the price. but honestly, i think it is still not better than the expride. (which i also have)😂 beautiful rod though

@@kenglee88 same model? I had the same model and used them both at the same time. I couldn't see any difference in sensitivity between the two. The Levante Shakyhead had a softer action than the Orochi, the Orochi is a bit stiffer and has quicker recovery, so there's definitely something different there for the money, but I just wasn't blown away like I was when I picked up my first Expride.

Are there any models in the X10 lineup that arn't comparable to the P5 lineup??

Yes, most of the rods are far from the destroyer p5 line up.

@@kayakfishingforpredators9107 Yes, although I’d say that the lineup is not directly comparable to P5s in terms of performance, there’re a good amount of “gap-fillers” that are worth taking a look at. Anyway, they’re not supposed to be on-par with P5’s, since they’re priced at a middle point between Orochi XX and P5s. The difference is the “muted” feel of the blank. You could say it feels more “fluid”than pure carbon blanks, thanks to the organic fibers incorporated on top of the carbon blank.

I am still in the midst of testing/using the rod. So far, I really like it... Time will tell but so far, its definitely in the conversation.

@@ChewyThaoFishing Do you think that the weight really even plays a factor in saying they’re not QUITE on the level of P5s? Because it’s pretty much a P5 blank with the “organic fibers” on top, or weaved in, which is what constitutes the extra weight. If this extra layer didn’t serve a purpose (which it does; the “dampening” effect) then you could say that they’re simply heavier. That being said, would you say there on par with P5s in every other category? (Depending on the intended purpose a certain model, of course).

Looks terrific! Excited to see what reel you put on it. Everyone likes there rod and reel to balance a certain way! Have a Orochi Shakyhead rod paired it with a Daiwa Tatula 3000 MQ I really like it! Have fun with your new setup!

Junk fishing is just a term for rods that can “do it all”. Not meaning the rods are junk. Just that they are versatile.
