😂😂😂these are tools, designed and made by men, for treatment we would shudder at nowadays. It’s all cool, they are all good 😊

What an amazing haul! You got some amazing gems in that lot! The vise grips are genuine made in Dewitt Nebraska. The Disston saw with the heavy brass support is a trim saw that would often be used with a miter box to make fine precise cuts to wood trim. I too can not stand to see good stuff thrown out. If you think about the energy and effort that went into producing things, it feels almost criminal to waste it by throwing it in the trash!

Nice haul Ant! the Stanley No.7 was the standout for me. Its nice when a collection of tools that probably took someone a lifetime to collect gets passed on to where they will get will be refurb'd and cherished rather than dumped in landfill... looking forward to the next instalment! loz

Holy Sh** Tony you got me drooling over that Stanley Bailey #7. Love those trammel points, the wood mallet, the slotted screws i needed a couple of those a while back couldn't find any! Great haul and good on you for helping them out. I'm gonna watch again later I know there was more stuff I liked in there. Thanks for taking the time to show what's in the bags.😁 Looking forward to the next one! 🍻

I cleaned it up a bit and I’d read about it before, I’m 99% certain is a 1960’s fake as it wasn’t really produced as an award 🙂🙂thanks fur watching and commenting 😄😄

Hi Tony A great collection. I think the yellow screwdriver is possibly a GPO Screwdriver Instrument No2. most useful size. Cheers.

You got some great finds there. I like the little hammer and actually all of it. The crest was cool. I think I have a plane like that one I got when my Brother in law passed away, it's a bygone and like yours it needs a good clean up. Great video .

Chisel. The "Punch" series from Robert Sorby, Sheffield. scissors are paper Hangers' shears. Rabone white rules from late '60s. Brass scribes .are a set of Trammels. Number 7 is a jointer Plane and is valuable. Polish shield is an item of history and needs research.... Bob (Weston super Mare)

I sort of already knew, I’ve been reading about Germany from 1918-1945 since I was a kid, it’s a shield that was never produced although it was authorised as an award. That is a very early reproduction from the first designs 😊

Interesting @@tony1721 When I was a kid I thought of war as a complete break down of everything. Everyone in the woods and cold. Later on what fascinated me was the occupied countries would still have a baker, a butcher, a shoe maker...on and on. They continued to work. That shield would of been produced for Warsaw I'm guessing. I believe the Germans were soon to lose Warsaw in 1944. Who ever was making the shields was probably unaware. (rather could of been unaware).
