Well yeah because those disasters can affect them too, tidal waves can destroy them through sheer force or rust. Earthquakes could drop building on them, and Huge storms, can be hurricanes, tornados and lightning which can also destroy them all.

You do have a point. I'd have to say my view of the inaccuracies is more from writing errors here and there. The X episode in particular always bugged me because X and the reploids talked about their programmed orders when they have no such thing in the canon of the games. So, it's nerd griping, really.
