Tip for anyone who has trouble with the Wily capsule: shooting him with the thunder strike makes him skip shooting out the 4 pellets, forcing him to shoot the thunderbolts down and vanish. So if you switch weapons carefully, you can trap him in a thunder/ice pattern.

Ive been playing through the mega man legacy collection 2 on steam and completely stuck on the challenge to kill this guy >< Thank you for the tip will have to try it out!

"Casually, the Wily Capsule is basically impossible." Dude, to beat it in Mega Man Legacy Collection 2, I needed to use every E tank, S tank, and W tank I could carry--and it still took me a lot of tries. It was rough! Anyway, great run, great commentary, great video!

Wow, I didn't expect this game to be so much like a Mega Man X game. Very cool, I should have checked this out years ago.

Oh, my god! I just noticed now, the Turtle boss @33:10 is inspired by the Thunderbird 2, from the Thunderbirds TV seires. =O His shell is identical to the Thunderbird 2 mothership, and it even releases the Pod for the vehicles. NICE touch! =D

This is a super late reply, but I was actually in the audience for this run, and believe it or not, that was someone's sneeze! I was near him and I remember Spikevegeta was too. The guy who sneezed seemed fine, but it was very surprising for all of us haha.

One bit of trivia for Shade Man’s stage: the junked robot in the background at the beginning of the stage is actually the scrapped mini boss of his stage. If you played Rockman 7 Sample you actually fight him instead of the pumpkin seen in the final version of the game

If you hit Shade man with wild coil he gets slammed to the right wall and at the frame where his eye-frames stop you can jump up to hit him again. Thats faster that the speedruna and MUCH easier

39:14 - 39:26 Yeah, Toad Man is definitely much more worthless than Spring Man. At least you actually have to try to kill Spring Man if you're going for a Buster only run of 7. But in 4, Toad Man is every bit as sad and pathetic (maybe even a little more so) with the Mega Buster as he is with the Drill Bombs.

I just beat this game today on Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 after about 5 hours. That room in the Wily Castle with the vertical climb up the things that emit the flame pillars took me probably half an hour to finally beat, and the Wily Capsule by itself was likely an hour, and that was with me hitting the shop and maxing out my inventory on E tanks and the SP tank in the end. Just incredible to watch something like this after that kind of frustration. Oh, also, fuck Turbo Man. That has to be one of the worst hitboxes in gaming on that charge attack after you hit him with his weakness.

Mega Man looks so weird in this game. Usually looks like a kid in the other games but here he looks like a vaguely-pissed-off twenty-something. Maybe Bob and George just ruined this sprite for me forever.
