Ray Cheatham eighties power !

26:15 beating all 8 bosses in 1 minute 17 seconds was insane!

I have a massive amount of respect for the patience and resolve of speed runners. I could never do it

Even though its an older video, glad to see you are the first one I see using metal blade against metalman for a oneshot hardly anyone does it on the re-fights in willy, this makes my day thanks.

What are you talking about? Lol, literally everyone does in any speed run under any category except buster only in Mega Man 2, and have for years and years. Not sure who you're watching.

I'm happy to have found this. I want to start to speed run and MM2 is the NES game I'm best at but I'm too dumb to know how zips work. I timed myself a long time ago and I was able to do it in around 48 minutes. I bet if I tune it up a bit I could get it lower. Seeing that there are no glitch categories is good news for noob/boomer runners.

I never knew Quick Boomerang took out the floor enemies. Always used Bubble Leas

Mac and Cheese pizza is phenomenal. Ian's Pizza in Madison, WI has one of the best.

do you stop the split when mega man teleports up after defeat of bosses? trying to work out when to split :-)

The mid games spilts arent importants you do how you like to personally i spilt when rock teleports but you can split also on last hit or whatever But if you want to apply your speedrun to the megaman rta leaderboards you must start the first split when you chose the difficulty of the game or just the moment when you start the game from the title screen if you play the jp version(bc there is no difficulty selection) and end the last split on the last hit of the final boss

I really love this game and want to try running it zipless too. When he shoots is it turbo or in this catagory it is not allowed.

The shot wrapped around the screen and hit the Sniper Joe tank on the left side.

I feel like when I use item 3 on a ladder it spawns higher than me. Is there a trick?

yes it's a 4 pixel window to place the item 3 and have it appear below you, it's specific to where you are on the ladder

No. Only single shot is metal blade on Metal Man, or heat charged on Wood Man. Crash takes 2, Flash and Bubble 4, Heat Man takes 3 i think. Quick is 1-4 crash bombs depending on if Quick is hit by the explosion.

This is played on Normal difficulty, bosses take twice as much damage from your shots on this difficulty.

Doug E when you push megaman through a wall / ceiling so the game zips you to another screen. It’s a glitch.

By far my favorite NES game. I can beat it in one life under 40 minutes. Played it hundreds of times but didnt understand some parts. Crashman always takes TWO shots from Airman weapon not one and several times when using weapons and items the meter didn't drain down from use. Also I've died plenty of times when killing a boss and it always counted my death and had to refight boss. IDK if all is legit it's insane impressive but even if there was some funny business it was still hella impressive with all that insane timing of jumps and use of items.

Imposible brincar justo en las orillas de las cabezas gigantes sin lastimarte en el stage de Airman, tan obvio que está hackeado todo, nunca he entendido estas muestras de "desafiar" los juegos viejos del NES en tiempo récord, es hacerse tonto solo. Pero bueno, así es la vida con los morros de ahora.
