Nothing more aggravating than heading back out on the skid trail and seeing 1,2 or more trees that done slipped out the grapple. Eats up your time gathering back up. Been doing this for 24 years and by no means at all do I know everything. Watching the 830 cutting,I always learn something and how can apply techniques to make my job more efficient. Don't know about everyone else, but myself, surely do appreciate the time you put into making these videos Tim. To portray a professional and positive image to the timber business.

This is where my dangle head track cutter works so well, I have so much reach and my head will turn any which way. I can cut those trees in that ravine and slide them back to the top in two motions and I can outwork a hot saw in that situation. People with hot saws get so mad when I tell them that but its true. That is why we choose the dangle because we are always on steep ground where most of the time the skidders have to have roads and we still cable a lot in this area. Flatlands I would pick a hot saw all day long, but in the mountains a dangle will smoke a hot saw head. That 830 is a sweet machine!

I can believe how much weight that cutter head can hold and just lay it down whenever he wants and the skidder he's pulling a ton of tree's each pull, great video as always
