I am sorry to be so brutally honest but this is comparable to gen 1 panoptics that Garmin released in 2016…the picture quality is not on pace with the other offerings currently available..

Looks nice for generations ago...Hummingbird, sorry to say it, you blew it.

Looks like a video from a 1970's arcade game. Hummingbird dropped the ball big time... Especially coming to the game 3 years late. Even livesight was better than this.

I noticed you didn't even attempt to find your lure in the mess.

I really feel bad for all those that pre ordered or still have these units on a back order. Humminbird You really missed the mark. Thanks for the upload and share of your video. I hope you did not come out of your pocket for that unit and it was a sponsor provided.

That SUCKS! Hummingbird needs to get their crap together

For that quality you could get a Garmin ps 22 for half the price same no black box. Looks to be the same tech, Lawrance is behind as well. Buy Garmin wait and see what they come out with next, it will take the other companys half a decade to copy. If I worked for Garmin I would be laughing.

Mega 360 and a LiveScope is the best of the best today

stick with side scan and 360 for now.....or maybe combine my one network with other brand (I am thinking garmin)

@@c_geary For me no mega live thats for sure, and the 360 is amazing. Start idle with sides and and make your waypoints, then attack those points with the 360......good luck

sorry but they better pack this version up and send it off to pasture. that is really bad. I couldn't imagine how bad it would be down at 100 ft where I fish for lakers. I can see the fish hit my lure at that depth with the Live scope.

Get the Garmin live scope. This bird system is no way detailed as the Garmin system.

Humminbird could you please refund my two 10 g4n's so I can switch to Garmin. I feel like I was seriously misled by your representative that assured me this was going to blow everything out of the water...no pun intended. Very disappointed.

...wouldn't even consider the MEGA Live. Humminbird should focus increasing the scan speed (more transducer elements?) in their MEGA 360 product. IMHO, real time updates are nice but fast screen updates (say every 1 to 5 seconds) on the 360 would enough for good situational awareness. If you want to watch the fish real time you (currently) need to use an underwater camera as the sonar technology isn't to that level yet.

I like it. Im buying one if they ever make it available. I would like to see what it looks like when it scans an area that is known to have fish or even a school

I would highly recommend looking into garmin live scope or even the panoptix ps22 transducer. Ive never seen blanks in the garmin products and you can actually see your lure.. sadly, you can't see the lure in this video. He is claiming he sees fish in this video but the quality is so poor you can't make it out. Livescope is clear as day. Do more research, otherwise you will be wasting your money.

Did they even test this before release?! Humminbird should be embarrassed.

ah man i bought a humminbird helix 9 g4n SI megaPlus. Shoot it was to go with the mega live, but looking at this i should have gone with garmin. This is garbage. Even this guy doesn't sound excited about this product. I guess i have to sell my humminbird system and move to garmin.
