Set up reminds me of my old daily. 04.5 CR girdle, 12v rods arp bolts, mahle coated and cut pistons, 188/220 cam push rods. Had some 150% overs with 12mm cp3 and s363/s483. Years ago when that truck was togther it always shocked people how rowdy a mild looking single cp3 truck with a modest manifold charger would do. Rods where always the worry some parts lol. As i recall it was on smarty UDC tuning and on big tune would put down little over 1k hp as well.

I went from a built F150 Ecoboost to a 6.7 Cummins. I love towing with the Cummins over the Powerstrokes I have owned in the past. The Cummins just likes to get down and grunt where the V8s want RPM when towing.
Ruby's lookin real good
I love how he’s acting like it casual to daily a 1200hp Cummins 😂
I love the Ram Mega Cab. Wish I had gotten a 4wd instead of 2wd but outside of that we love ours. I'm impressed with ours which is pretty much stock. I run an economy tune on it and it's a beast. I'd have to have a traffic lawyer on retainer if I had 1200hp. Seriously part of the reason I haven't added any mods, that and the transmission. Even stock I pulled a IH TD-6 on a triple behind it and had no problems keeping up with traffic. Going to be picking up a Massey 2200 forklift pretty soon on the same trailer. Bit of a longer drive this time though. The dozer was only 200 or so miles away the forklift is 750. Transmission is all I really worry about though.

Cool daily driver. But you didn't cover LP turbo. How big is this gt55 ?😀 I mean inducer wise. Can you explain wg on this setup. I see some external wastegate. Is the iwg of he351 welded? Are you running 2 stock cp3?
@pddofficial
2 жыл бұрын
Big turbo is a GTX55 106mm w/1.0AR T6 housing. Wastegate is 45mm Turbo Smart mounted to the Steed Speed T3 manifold and fed into the hot pipe just before the GTX55 inlet. The small turbo is a 67/67 HE351cw based turbo with a spring gate that opens based on drive pressure. High pressure pumps are a 12mm CP3, and a hurt stock Duramax pump.

what sort of magic has been done to the transmission to put down 1200hp and 2400tq reliably? love the shifter by the way.
@pddofficial
2 жыл бұрын
It's one of our standard 1000 HP rated 48re transmissions with fat input and output shaft upgrades. Any transmission behind a truck this heavy with this much power is going to require regular maintenance at shorter intervals: filter change twice per year, 2nd gear band adjustment twice per year, fluid change once per year, full time transmission line pressure gauge to keep an eye on line pressure. Don't beat on it if line pressure is below 185 psi or so. Also need to service the rear diff once a year, and rear u-joints every other year unless you build a custom larger joint drive shaft. The rolling burnouts are really hard on tires, but even if you keep burnouts to a minimum, big power trucks wear out tires twice as fast.

@@pddofficial Do you have any examples of where someone should had this part? There are somethings that are just bling like shinny belt pulleys and such.
@dilsher12
2 жыл бұрын
@@ChannelZeroOne A quality damper is far from being a bling part , it definitely helps especially on high horsepower builds .I think inline 6s especially with a long crank have more torsional vibrations . It's pretty common to see bearing wear in high horsepower 2jz engines from using the stock dampers. I have personally seen stock pulleys come apart and cause mayhem . When you have thousands invested in an engine a few hundred is no big deal .
@pddofficial
2 жыл бұрын
The other reason many higher powered trucks get the fluid dampr is SFI rules at the drag strip require it once you surpass 11.99 quarter mile times. On the 12v trucks, once they start to turn past 3500 rpm for any length of time, the stock dampener fails and comes loose. So the provision for dowels, better fasteners on the full power kit, and failed stock dampener are all factors on the older trucks.
