I’m a summer girl. I use to live in a place where winter lasted forever, spring was nonexistent, and summer was a blink. I also suffered from SAD. So for me, even the discussion of fall brings on a feeling of sadness and even panic (I must enjoy the last days of summer!!). So my heart goes out to those who suffer from SAD, and those who are triggered with the change of seasons.

I feel this. Where I live, we had a lot of sun in May and June, but since the end of June it has been raining nonstop. I wasn't able to enjoy the good weather in spring because I had so. much. to do and I fell sick two days before the only summer vacation I had. It's depressing. I have been sitting at my desk writing my thesis and studying while watching the rain outside for over a month now. I really hope I will be able to enjoy the summer next year. My motto this year is "enjoyment" but I have had nothing but hardship and challenges the wohle year and regarding all that has happened, this will go on until the end of next spring. No enjoyment for me, just pushing through and trying not to drown. If you made it this far, thanks for reading, it felt good to write down my frustration.

I just found your channel yesterday. I love your confidence and how it appears that you so easily share your opinions and ideas. Secondly, your home makes me want to try white paint on my walls. I love how it makes all your woods looks so warm!

Our summer has been going great. In the past, we have greatly overbooked ourselves in the summer. But we have slooooowed down this summer with our schedule and it has been the relaxation our whole family has needed!

You’ve been instrumental in me changing my mindset about decluttering and simplifying our own home. And oh my goodness, the peace we are working towards when things are minimal is so wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing what that looks like in real life - the ebbs and flows of it all. So thankful! Also encouraged as we’ve moved into a fixer-upper and so appreciate the real life blessings and struggles of that too. So thank you! Ps: LOVE the hair cut! So fresh and cute for summer. 😍❤

We always think we will remember what those random house pieces are but I almost never do. TIP! Write on the cardboard what it is! Another tip is to find a spot (probably out in the garage) to keep house items you may use in the future. I have a bookcase that got dinged up in a move and instead of tossing it, it went into our yucky basement and everything on it is something for our house that we may need at some point. And I tried to make sure to label anything obscure. This has saved me more than once! I had an extra hinge set for our cabinets and one current one broke so I was able to go down and shop my house bookcase and fix it up quick and easy!

I love your Grandma’s dining table! Having all the windows are a blessing.

Summer is definitely my favorite now as a mom. All the sunshine and water activities are so fun!

Love the new hair and new curtains. If you put an empty toilet roll on the rod between each pleat behind the fabric it will puff out the top a bit so it doesn't go so flat at the top when pulled back. Up to you, of course, but I saw that tip last summer when re-doing our curtains and I love how it makes my curtains look fuller than they are.

We don’t really need curtains for privacy either but even with double glazing I find thick lined curtains make such a huge difference in maintaining the room temperature in winter plus they are useful to keep out the heat of the summer sun.

I bought the vent covers after seeing your living room refresh last week, and I absolutely love them! Such a small change that made the perfect amount of difference in some of our main living areas.

Fall is my favorite too. Although this past Spring was a looong beautiful spring that we don’t normally get in NC and it was amazing. We moved to the coast over a year ago and while that is wonderful beach weather, it also means a lot of family guests and a very busy beach experience. In Fall, the water is still warm, but much less people. We also love to eat meals outside and it’s way too hot for that in the summer. There’s something so special about God’s gifts in the garden though and Summer will always hold that.

Watched half right before bed last night. Watched a different video from you tube to do my dishes (sorry) watched you finish everything up while i golded a load of laundry... went to get groceries and then finished up your video once i got back and needed to sit down before getting ready for work. You move pretty fast thru everything for me to really get things done a long side, but i manage to really go at my own speed bc you inspire me to stick it out. Thanks

My summer is going okay. But it's about to go great. Next Tuesday I'm leaving for a week's solo trip to London. My husband didn't care to travel, but he supported me going. I love fall. I live in northeastern PA, where the trees turn beautiful colors. I'm glad you got your project done.😊

Hey Natalie still watching your video. Just dropping by to say hello. My favorite seasons is Spring and Fall. I used to like summer, but with getting older not so much. The one thing I like about summer is taking time off from homeschooling.

I'm lucky that my hubby & I eat almost anything (and no dietary restrictions🎉) so make both hot & cool types of meals every week! He insisted on at least once a week he gets to grill outside (enclosed sun porch helps during the winters here in Kentucky 🥶) So i just shop at the grocery store - its easy since I keep the basics for the styles of cooking on hand, it just deciding which meat or which style to cook.

Summer…. I absolutely hate it. It’s always 100 and above. It’s miserable. We have a pool but it doesn’t help because the water heats up from the sun. I’m definitely with you on Fall. It’s my absolute favorite! I love the colors, the cooking soups etc. love your videos!!

I love the new haircut. I saw it on Instagram first. I love seeing the deer, the does and the bucks. We have trees all over our land and I used to see a doe with a spotted fawn. But we had the trees close to our house cut down. So there’s just too much foliage to see anything in the summer. Maybe this fall will see some. My husband and I have been retired for quite some time. And summer is just like almost any other season where we live, just a lot warmer. I need a larger house with some storage. I’m not a minimalist. But I really enjoy your videos. Maybe I should be a minimalist. But my husband never would be. And I do go through things and donate or trash things we don’t need. But my husband does not throw anything away.

Hi Natalie, It felt so good watching your video today. I've been having some struggles, and I really need to declutter. I just can't stand it anymore, but I'm stuck and can't get started. 😢. When my husband was alive, my house never looked like it does today, and since I have limited mobility and with the help when I need it from my 3 grandsons I raise but, with me letting things go so are they. I'm not setting good examples, and I just don't know where or how to make me get moving. Any tips on getting myself in gear would be greatly appreciated. I would love all your food allergy/intolerance cooking hacks and ideas! I recently got diagnosed with EoE which is basically food allergy related esophagus issues and am going to have to cut out some foods (wheat, dairy, eggs, nuts) for a while until we can figure out what’s causing the issue.

I still use my whole set of Pyrex baking ware. 18 years and still going strong!

I love the new hair, I've actually been contemplaiting about the same cut for a few weeks now😂 Question about your beautiful dining room set: have you tried removing two chairs and only have three on each long side of the table? The space is there obvioulsy but it might look a little more effortless and not so crowded. Just a thought😘

Wildlife sightings in our area (western Kentucky) includes: deer, possums, raccoons, many birds (cardinals are my favorite), rabbits, cicadas, dragonflies, butterflies, lizards,... Always stop to look & relax watching them.

Summer has always been my favorite! Allergies are too active for me in Spring and Fall, and I have never liked winter!

I chose the kick back and relax option, thank you ;-) it's currently 8 am and I need to wake up first, love those venta even though they're not common in the Netherlands, or at least not in rental properties, also loved the deer and good kitty for catching vermin ;-)

BTW, not shaming the length of time it took you to get curtains. It took us a few years before we got any for our windows. Everything in it's own time. But I just know that it adds something to the room that feels like it was missing. That's how I felt.

I love summer! My kids are now 9,12&14 so kind of easier but kind of obsessed with Nintendo…which I allow more of in a rainy (literally rainy) day. I am however looking forward to the cool fall weather.

We have beautiful springs, but as soon as summer break starts (it's 6 weeks here) the weather turns cold and rainy. So we are mostly inside and it makes me dread summer break. Having a little baby doesn't really help either.

Natalie, your hair is GORGE! I've been considering a "mom chop" and this might have pushed me over the edge. Consider me influenced! 😜
