Meeting Your Ex Wife's New Man: So for some reason you have to meet your ex wife's new significant other. What and how and why should you act a particular way. Your children already met their mom's new man so now it's your turn. You have to meet him, for the kids sake you think.
How should act around him, should you be rude, can you tell him you hate him? Of course not. Thing is you're setting a tone for your involvement in the life of them as their new blended family. But before you dare to make any judgement and assumptions on the guy, thing is, yo too will be that new boyfriend so it's a good idea to cut him some slack because he's just someone that's there to move on with their life just like you are or will be.
Set the tone as their dad to friend him. He will only benefit you and make your life easier with your ex wife and this is especially true if he also has kids.

My ex wife never went out of her way to have her new guy and I meet.. however, according to her, he was better than me. Once I realized I no longer cared about her, she was pissed off for the better part of a decade.

What's that saying "I cried when you left me but laughed when I saw who you left me for"? Yeah, I can relate. I wanted to put the picture of the man my ex left me for and I suppose I can since he died shortly after but it would look tacky. Of course your ex will say her new guy is better. I care more about what you think and I think you already told me.
