Agreed. He’s a big pushover. I was in line to meet him just like this in Columbus Ohio back on there pop tour. Some girl gave him a sob story about something or other and he stopped signing autographs and took her backstage with him. everybody was really pissed about it

I met Bono once...he is the real deal. Super cool, funny . What a great band and what a legacy .

It doesn’t matter how much you have as manners cost nothing. Well done Bono and Edge, true icons.

Whether good or bad, poor or millionaire, famous or unknown, it's always wonderful watching an artist being kind and respectful to their fans.

I remember working in the Airport Police in Dublin during the 80's when U2 were getting picked up from one of their tours by their chauffeur. Two young American girls were waiting for a bus into Dublin city, when Bono arrived. They asked me "Is that Bono" I replied it was and they said do you think he would give us his autograph. I said he's usually very approachable ask him. Not only did they get his autograph but he offered them a lift in their limousine into the city Centre. The joy on their faces was priceless.

@Razor Mouth☘️ this was around the time of The Joshua Tree and to be honest I was surprised myself as I had never seen them close up before although I heard from some workmates at the airport that they were very approachable. That’s why it was so memorable.

Their humility never ceases to amaze me!

Always so gracious to fans. This is how you do it.

Bono is such an exceptional human being. He kissed that womans hand. That is humbling.

These is what the really galactic stars look like. Simple, humble, mingling with the fans. That's what makes them huge. Not only the millions of records sold.

There is a lot to learn from those guys. They were so 'present' with their fans. After decades of fame and fortune and no requirement to be so. Gentle, patient, giving. Wonderful. Thanks lads, CU Upstairs one day.

I was a little girl when I found this band. Bono is a great singer and he cares about causes. He is the voice of those who can speak.

I won’t lie. I have had some issues with Bono before, but I have the utmost respect the way he and the Edge showed they truly care about their fans. You just can’t fake that. That is something those fans will never forget. I’ve seen them many times over these many years and listen to them daily. Their music is the soundtrack of my life. To see these seemingly untouchables being so down to earth somehow makes it worth it to me to be a fan.

Taking time to talk to fans & give autographs ? No wonder I'm enjoying this. Almost unheard of. God bless you men !

Met Bono buying boots in 1992. A genuine down to earth guy.

These Guys right here are responsible for the Joshua tree . One of the greatest albums of all time and made the grey late eighties a lot lighter for me . Thank you U2

Same. It still blows my mind how they went from Joshua Tree(which was obviously one of the greatest albums of all time) that had such a distinct/unique sound… And then followed that up with Achtung Baby(which is just as good as JT, if not better) and has a completely different sound. I don’t think a lot people understand how ridiculously difficult/rare that is.

I wish, more superstars would be like Bono&Edge 🥺♥️ So close to their fans 🥺 Many stars unfortunately forget that without their fans they wouldn't be up there on the big stages, many are unfortunately arrogant and detached 🥺

He does. He has been doing this for quite a while. in 2011 outside the Oakland Coliseum and the HP Center in San Jose in 2015 he did the same thing. In 1992 they went through a MCDs drive-through and talked to the guy at the window...

very cordial to their fans...hey all you rock stars out there?? THIS is how you treat your fans...just a bunch of great guys...rock on U2...

I love watching Bono’s hands when he sings...does anyone else see and feel the fascination wit the way he sings with his hands?

So blown away at where life takes us throughout the years. I was just watching how young he was in his videos " l still haven't found what l'm looking for" and "The Streets have no names" & " I can't live with or without you" . We're all headed to the same place in the end. U2 song's and many many others let us hold on to our youth no matter how old you get ⚘

These guys were a class act. I am so proud that Tulsa, Oklahoma was their kickoff tour. I don't know why but it was great.

I love how much time they take to each of their fans. This is certainly something that you"ll hardly see with other autograph videos with celebrities.

Great guys for giving back to so many that have given to them. Cheers, boys! We need more like you.

They are so natural and humble!.

I have seen these guys few times, I work beside their record studio in Dublin. Always unassuming, just walking about by themselves or with a friend. No entourages or fanfare.

Gosh I am 52 I’m a fan since I was 15 never thought Bono was like that ,I don’t know how I could react if I could just give a hug to my lifetime idol

I had the top of my bucket list moment at Seattle Beautiful Day concert...went day before to try to figure out where they might sign autographs (he is known to generously do this)...day following...day of concert....my guess was right...I had pen and paper in hand...I was so close I could have gotten a hug...but I froze....just in awe.....what a gift he has given the world in So many ways

I don't know why so many people hate Bono! Especially Ireland! The guy is so down to earth and cool as hell!

Met him once in a jacks (toilet ,restroom)in an ltalian restaurant in dublin about 10 years ago just off the liffey river ,sound guy ,and yes we wash our hands before we shook hands ,they say never meet your hero's but hes sound out

Back in 1983, I met them walking down an alley in Westwood Village in Los Angeles where they asked me if I had change for a dollar.. They were in the car.. I didnt realize who it was until I looked inside and was I like uhhhhhhhhhhhh. Fun times.

When seeing them at 360 tour in NC we were walking around inside the stadium and Bono and Edge were just over in a corner tucked away signing stuff and talking, taking pictures much like this...I was about 5 feet away, and loving them since '82 I completely froze and couldn't do anything but stare at them..they still were there 10 minutes or so..can't believe I didn't start screaming like a girl at a Beatles concert...my sister went over and got close and filmed a lot of it

My niece went on tour with U2 some years back, as a tutor to their kids. She said they are just a bunch of normal people, raising their families unspoilt and best they can in not so normal circumstances.
