It was the perfect disguise, especially since a blind man wouldn't be looking for disguises since the conventional ones dont work on him.

He spent some time with Killinger in the lead up to the raid on Gargantua-2. That guy can fix most villains. For that matter, you could argue that Rusty started his slow progress to redemption after his time with Killinger. Obviously with Rusty it's going to be a long, slow process, but he really is getting a little better every year.

I love how Red Death dresses up despite being a red 7ft tall skeleton.

I am really impressed with how The Venture Brothers went from a slightly generic parody of 60s era action cartoons to a fully fleshed out sci-fi action comedy. This really was one of the most underrated shows to come out of the sophmore years of Adult Swim, and I would love to see it make a return.

Somehow, whiny, immature Phantom Limb is the _perfect_ "retirement" arc for him. He's had his whole arc: He's been the sauve, serious, "super" antagonist. He's gone nuts and been a major villain on a psychotic breakdown. Now he's settling in to something closer to Dragoon/Red Mantle, whining about having gotten dressed for nothing, or the whole treaty signing deal. If he had been _introduced_ like that, it would have made him seem weak and lame. But knowing that this is just PL having gotten it all out of his system makes it god damn hilarious. He's had his fun, and it's time to let other villains be the big, ominous, serious threats, namely Red Death. It's time for him to _relax_ and enjoy himself now

He didn't get what he wanted. He didn't get the girl, he didn't become Sovereign, but he got a respected position on the Guild council, and I think he realized that's enough.

@@battlesheep2552 it really fits with the theme of failure too! Limb always fails at what he's trying to do, but always lands in a more successful role. I think at this point, Limb is a great council member because he finally gets his role. He can't succeed, he's an antagonist. This world is built on the premise that the heroic protagonist will escape and win. He no longer cares about the result by the end of the series, because he learns that the "grudge" is the most important part of being a supervillain. It's the Guild of Calamitous INTENT, not Action.

yet same time Red Death is up there in age, and should retire, but doesn't really want to, and him joining the Council is kind of a compromise with his wife who worries he might not come back from an arch. He gets a frankly easier job, states in the villain game doing it, and probably gets more time with his wife and daughter. Who knows, maybe the kid will take his mantle in the future.

is more about perspective level, in the begin Phantom Limb was basic the Upper Level Villain, form the eyes of a lesser Villain you only see Phantom Limb success, but now you see him from the Eyes of Villains that are equal or more successful than him, from the Monarch perspective Phantom Limb is the Big and Successful villain, the upper class villain, from Red Death perspective, Phantom Limb is just a guy that try to hard to look the big Villain, but his Charm just dont work in Red Death so you see his failure too

Phantom Limb leaves through the back seemingly towards the bathroom to change, but also towards the kitchen, and then returns a loooong time later through the front door and says he didn't have anything to change into. He didn't got to change into a costume he went to the kitchen, murdered the cook, stole his clothes, probably dropped the body outside, and came back through the front. As meek and awkward as he is in this season he's just as nonchalantly murderous lol

Love how Red Death actually helped Mrs The Monarch sit down.....he may be a super villain, but he knows how to treat a lady, this old gentleman

I love how Red’s eyes slowly start to glow through this entire scene, showing he’s getting more and more pissed off at Rage’s lack of decorum.

They’re the guys who made it to the top of the high school social ladder and though that’d mean shit for college admissions. They then eek out acceptance to a community college and thing their HS social standing means shit. Then after making it to the top of the college social ladder, the think that and scoring the game winning touchdown four years ago will mean shit in the job market. To quote Questionable Content #3951: “High School is going to be the best part of your life. Everything after now will be a slow slide into obscurity and misery. Enjoy it while it lasts.”

They glow when he's in intense emotion, like fear, wrath, and joy. He *hated* what happened in Gargantua 1, he took guilty joy in what he did against his worst arch, he was going to kill Monarch singlehandedly for threatening his family, and he *relishes* killing. Feed his desires and those eyes shine like the sun. Just don't do it in front of his family. He has an image to maintain.

@@danielmedina4276 You actually gave me another thought in this overarching plot: what if it was a MP4 file or a DVD and she had access to a jPhone/Laptop, and she was secretly watching her dad work the whole time thanks to an anonymous source (likely Phantom Limb, maybe Rusty, Monarch can't because they squashed their squabbles) At first she's horrified but then practices being just like him in secret. Then one day, her dad finds the footage and he is just frozen in disbelief. Red Death feeling the chill of fear once again is like the Monarch losing his kingdom, it just breaks him. However, he would've found worse: if he checked her closet, she already made her own costume and weapons. He's happy, but sobs that the secret was caught. Maybe not sobbing, but he would fall to the ground in utter horror. A parent's worst nightmare. Now millions of thoughts are crossing his mind: what would the male villains think? What happens when she's a little older? What if she can't be like her dad and separate both lives as long as she could? She did good so far, but since he caught her stuff, he worries even more. For the second time in his life, since Gargantua 1, he was defeated. And now he has to confront her about all this new villainess business or else things will get so much worse. Wide Wale also realizes this is a huge problem seeing as he doesn't allow kids to run in his business and calls a huge meeting for the guild to intervene for her. Perhaps properly educate her while her dad gets counseling on his second loss in life.

Hell, maybe in the final season, she can inherit the cloak and scythe and be the first level 10 villainess not counting Sheila. As Red Death reclines on a couch, he watches the news to see his baby girl all grown up and managing an army of skeleton warriors arching against a newly crowned level 10 arch, Dean.

RD is a gentleman and a Scholar (not sure if he is just wanted to finish the phase) he may be evil, but he got class and shows respect to others. No wonder his life outside of work is nearly perfect

Then the end result would be that OSI building or that entire neighborhood he singlehandedly killed because he *hated* an arch. So much more than Monarch, that he makes his arching look like a game of Four-Square in the playground. Red Death seen and did some shit. An old timey villain like him stuck around the game long enough to be a lieutenant for the Council. At least when he retired, his pension is bigger than any of us would ever imagine.

Speaking as someone who lives in Canada this doesn't surprize me. Toronto alone isn't that well known for it's politeness, and Montreal . . . No seriously if any American feels like blowing up a Canadian City please do it to that one (Hopefully Trudeau is currently there at the time). People in Alberta can be irritable due to a semi cold civil war with most of the East side.

Blind Rage crossed the line when he violated a most sacred covenant, right up there with Crossing of the Heart, the Shit-List, and the venerated Pinky Swear. _He ate that stuffed pepper after Phantom Limb called Dibs on it._ Undeclared, fine, but with Dibs, it's always a rule of rounding up, and Hamilton called that thing.. probably made it too, and the man knows his appetizers.

I never noticed this before, but red death gets up to pull the chair out for the lady, staring him down the entire time. That moment really feeds into his later diatribe. He's talking about the "gentleman villain," in such high regard, he obviously seeks to be one or, given his actions, considers himself one already. Hatred, for Red Death, isn't about pouring his hate all over the place (like Blind Rage, and his disrespect. It's about making a point, poetically, against someone _you hate!_

Yeah, it's really inspiring. He knows he's a violent and homicidal, but he never lets that get in the way of him being respectful and even kind at spots. Blind Rage was everything he hated about modern villainy and an affront to what he stands for

I like how Red Death is protective of Doctor Mrs. The Monarch. He doesn’t tolerate anyone talking to his friends like that

Red Death really needs to work on the whole "incognito" thing. I mean nobody's saying anything sure, but then again they aren't sayng anything about Phantom limb either. There's a difference between an effective disguise and citizens smart enough to keep their heads down :3

His senses are absolutely something else, probably sensed the hat and went "he's definitely the chef."

(In obnoxious commentary voice) Now you see, where blind rage went wrong in that play was he made Red Death mad. Seeing a lot of rookie plays where they think they can make him mad and not end up on the wrong side of a moving train.

Gotta love how Red Death is so polite. He opens the door for Dr Mrs The Monarch., pulls her chair out for her, and even stands up in her defense when Blind Rage insults her
