👌 it's those movies we tell our children are not real, so much for sci-fi. Telling my 4 year son as we passed a war game shop, models can be painted telling they are not real. He's seen them in Ukraine on the news, he knows they're real. Robots too. Its scary for him knowing there's not much difference between the reality to the fake nowadays.

if robots were able to take over human jobs that would be good! robots don’t need to be payed and so the money would just go to the people without having to work for it, currently humans have to work to survive but if we didn’t have to work we can just work for fun instead (i hope that makes sense!) people only say the robots will take over because of the movies, but we are currently using robots and artificial intelligence to communicate and make life easier, robots are already everywhere and all they do is take orders, and if a robot were to gain a consciousness then the only reason why they would fight back is if you treat them bad, but either way robots were created by humans, we are their gods

Still this is one of the simplest possible designs. Imagine the possibilities with neural and bone cells or even different “lego parts” or kinds of cells from different species. Of course this has it’s own problems but there’s no immune system to prevent it

@Orange Fort nuclear power was meant to provide energy too, but we used it make an apocalyptic weapon. Electricity was designed for energy, but we used it to fry people's brains. The danger in this technology being able to be used to hurt people by elites outweighs any potential benefits. The road to hell is paved with good intentions. That was the whole point of the movies like Terminator or Minority Report.

I'm waiting on the Kickstarter campaign that will guarantee to produce and sell a home army of Xenobots to clean your home 24/7 so you wouldn't have to do it yourself ever again. Also waiting on a bug that will make them "eat" the house itself and make more Xenobots from the raw material, moving onwards to take over the world, solar system and the rest of the Galaxy, until SG-1 defeat them.

The advent of the age of living Robots just like in the scifi movie.....TERMINATOR. On the plus side we can mass produce these self replicating biological robots for Future Wars. Hmmm, the timeline must have diverged at some point because in 2100 we used robots and AI to eradicate cancer and become a space faring civilization.

I think that there is an issue of control that needs to be emphasized. How can we trust an organism if we can't predict it's behavior? Perhaps we can predict it and it's not harmful. Still, I hope that enough studies are done before this "machine" can be used on people or on other animals. It's an animal. I have not often thought of animals as also being machines. This is because they are organisms. Right? So, I understand this organism to be different than machines in the traditional sense. That is what is so awkward about this. What is to stop someone from calling us humans machines instead of organisms? If I conceive of a machine, I think of gears, pulleys, batteries, electricity, levers, fasteners, metal, wood, circuitry ...those things. These things can't be human an organism also. Sometimes, they are attached to humans and that's odd, but they are not human nor organic. I hope that I'm not stupid for disagreeing here, but it seems wrong to call them machines. They aren't fully controllable it seems also. They have capabilities that should be reckoned with before we create them and apply them. That's my opinion and I have a lot of questions about it. I need to learn more. Reactions to what I typed here, anyone?

Heather thats the problem. Humans think they can do EVERYTHING! These robots will become self aware and they will take control. Its the human ego thats the problem. Just watch i robot. Well the robots are kind of like organs. They need a supply of stem cells to function or they just die. So even if you take some, it won't do anything if you don't supply them with stem cells. So for now, there's really no reason how they could control us.
