In my headcanon, the Mimi Sentry is something that doesn’t physically exist within TF2, but instead is art that the Scout came up with. He then showed his art to Engie, only for him to say: “Son, you got some wild imagination.” Scout, unsure to take that as a compliment or insult, keeps on making art.

honestly i really like them as like a spin-off kinda series of tf2, not in the official lore but like an alternate version? with all the characters that have been made, i like to thing that engineer got a bit depressed from being alienated with his high intelligence and created something he genuinely loved.

I always thought Mimi was built to solve the practical problem of "How do I make my sentries more mobile in order to eliminate some blu degenerates faster and more efficiently?". You'll agree when she starts somersaulting at you.

It's a pretty cute trend. I like seeing Engie in a fatherly role, it really suits him. Less enthusiastic about how horny so many people in the community are over what is very visibly a childlike design. I mean, there's two primary traits to Mimi, gun robot and child. So are they so attracted to the gun robot part they overlook the child part? Just doesn't sit right with me, seems off.

I don’t understand where people get the idea that Mimi is a waifu to Engi. A lot of the animations I’ve seen of the two is usually in a Dad and Daughter relationship, which IMO makes even more sense, especially given Engi’s personality. “Ain’t that a cute little gun”. Seeing it that way makes Mimi feel like more of a character amongst the official TF2 cast, sort of like how Helpy is to FNAF.

Seeing the community throwing a giant fuss over anime style 3d fan art was both entertaining and sad at the same time

little clarification, mimi sentry and mini sentry chan arent just different terms for the girl sentry, they each refer to different models, mimi sentry is the one mainly shown in this video while mini sentry chan is the tiny one with the robe seen at 0:20 and 2:32

I vaguely remember seeing a post about the design that's currently well-known that it was based off of Murder Drones, which makes sense when you compare the character design in MD with her. @@DiegoRamirez-sv4pb If they WOULD listen to the "fans", the game would be full of anime girl characters and overpowered/underpowered weapons because one portion of the community maybe hates the sniper, or maybe they hate the scout, maybe they hate spies, maybe they hate getting killed by that one certain weapon and the other side would flip out who love playing as these classes. Adding something like Mimi would be about the worst decision you could make, there is no way this would fit into the game artistically speaking.

Tf2 is a power house of fan created art, more passionate and talented than any other I've seen. It's the main reason I love the community so much. The creativity and sheer passion people have for every aspect of the game speaks equal parts about the insane amount of work that was put into refining the game (9 years in development) and the people who play the game. LIMC you need to do a video on Pootis Engage and related content. The SFM has garnered great attention and has influenced other SFM works being included as references and nods. Not to mention the plethora of nods and references to all facets of meme culture in the original SFM itself. It seems like the perfect lesson for your viewers.
