Hey Spartan! When you were referring to the mast. That style mast is called the Tri-Pod mast/super structure. Just like how the Texas went from the lattice and then to the Tripod style to accommodate for the first radar to be equipped on a USN ship (they ordered 13 systems to try it and obviously we all know how well we got the hang of it?! in pc, shes ok. It's one of my most played ship's because shes a good money maker for tier 5. 30 sec main battery reload... but good ship if you know how to angle it. Love it

Interesting fact, just randomly found today, reading in Wikipedia article about the light cruiser "Michail Kutuzov": in USSR, on 29.10.1955 in Sevastopol, "Novorossiysk" battleship sunk due to magazine explosion, killing 829 men in total (also during rescuing operations). Many of them were trapped inside the ship. That ship was the Giulio Cesare, an Italian battleship, transferred due to reparations to USSR from Italy after the end of the WW2. "Michail Kutuzov" was nearby during that tragedy and lost 27 men from it's team during rescuing operations...

So i got the ship about a week ago and it has honestly become one of my favorites. She handles extremely well, very forgiving for a BB, packs a punch, and she is very fast.

A few words about this ship's armor. It's not heavy (250mm belt, 280mm turret faces), but it is extensive. The ship originally had full belts. That's armor belts from bow to stern. It was a distributed armor scheme and the distribution was extensive. That means HE shatters and light to medium AP deflections and shatters. This ship and her sister and near sisters were extensively rebuilt in the '30s. Literally 60% of the original ship was replaced with new construction. The bow was essentially a 30' long strap-on placed over the original armored ram bow. This is where your ironclad might potentially come in. We don't know, because no armor viewer, but the literature I've seen makes no mention of the original bow belt being removed--and it was 80mm thick. That can't be overmatched.

That 30% torpedo reduction is the Pugliese system. Basically, a novel anti-torpedo protection system that the Regia Marina developed before WW2. All their battleships received, including the Roma. But its effectiveness is very debatable and many historians think that the system never really funcioned that well. Ask the Roma's sisters, especially Littorio

It works in the game. In actuality, the system had some issues. Mostly these were material issues and some due to technological stumbling blocks. The system also was difficult to repair when damaged. Vittorio Veneto took repeated torpedo hits in her career and stayed in action. The system did work, but it was never entirely implemented as designed due to the above mentioned issues. The system as used in both classes of pre-WNT Italian dreadnoughts had even more issues due to space constraints. Interestingly enough, the follow on design to the Littorios, the FP41, didn't use this system or the composite belt armor.

I still love my Kongo, and think it's the most fun battleship at tier 4. And I'll fight any New York captain that says different. 😎 If you can catch me. 😆 Ps - that Giulio Cesare moves really really well. Looks like fun. 👍

Lattice mast is the frame style mast (or cage), the Giulio Cesare has the tripod mast at the aft end.

Actually most of the armor is on the guns and conning tower but these ships armor is paperweight compared to the powerhouses like USN.

I find this in blitz to be very good, it does well against carriers and cruisers, because early carriers do very little and same with cruisers as they don’t have powerful guns. Be careful if you see 2 or 3 destroyers they like to swarm you, they will target you with torpedoes and battleships can do a lot of damage but you can usly take care of many enemies, this is for blitz not on pc or cousles. Buy it! It’s very good in my experience with it

LoL yeah I thought I could get turned away faster than I did. I was trying to use my stealth to get a better position but unfortunately got spotted by the plane so you guys were waiting for me.... not preferable also that was my 2nd game in it and still had Cruiser commander on because I am dumb. GG though I hope to repay the favor someday!

All those that are questioning if the ship is worth it I felt the same way when I bought it I didn’t think too much of it but it has quickly and rapidly become one of my most played shifts because not only how good it looks it’s just a fantastic shit in every category

I'd rather be hitting citadels than starting fires much more efficient. Also Fires aren't as common with BBs because you get less hits per salvo.

You know one thing that I would find really cool in wow is if they somehow implemented storms in some maps with big waves and shit but I feel like that would be to hard for the developers but still a cool idea

I played a few hours with this ship already, and it’s good, nothing wrong with it at all, however I have better gameplay in my opinion with the USS Texas. It’s still up in the air over which you should buy, but just personally, I think that Texas is better.

Texas is a very good tier 4 BB and So is this but this one isn't as tanky so if you like tankier BBs then Texas but if you want a challenge that will make you a better BB captain then this is a good choice. It will force you to learn to use your advantages. Where as Texas is pretty standard American BB

Brian Barrigar do you have other ships or the campaign? If you don’t I would recommend saving up for a tier 5 bb like the warspite or mutsu or get the campaign

I just bought that ship it's amazing👌👌👌

I put on Cunningham and kondo to increase the already good Concealment seems to be working out well 1st 3 games were a 135 to 150000 damage so not to bad and I think the dispersion is BETTER on this one vs the roma

Btw Spartan the reason it has a lot of torp defense but no torp bushes is because it uses the pliesi torp system witch her and the littorios aka Roma also use it's a weird torp system and u should check out it's internal hence y no budges

Best tier 4/5 battleship hands down. And its good for hunting and killing destroyers 😈 Fear this ship!! Also.. Good for making fast silver. I earn 330k each match. Its a battleship's 1st priority to kill cruisers and destroyers, and this ship does it better then any other battleship in the game by far. An iowa or bismarck or any other battleship do not fair well against destroyers. They just dont have the speed and moveability to hunt and kill them. This ship does. Plus it survives multiple torp hits. I survived 3 hits. If ur looking for a tier 4 ship to dominate matches, this is it. I run ciliax and madden for inspirations. Same skills as shown by spartan except the 1st one. Im using the reduce fire and flood skill.

This is WAY better than Texas, my favorite ship to play on pc. Best stats are on this ship for me. Play like a cruiser, punish broadsides.

I’m thinking it was broken too. It was Izmail that got citadeled at about 7km fully broadside. Only happened the one time.

I over angle or go broadside on in Amagi and somehow I don't regret it. Like all the time, just trolling everyone.🤣

Spartan. Found a Bismarck build that works. Try a cilliax build with a level 10 or higher Azure lane Nelson and Cunningham inspirations. Sank 13 ships in 4 rounds. The azure lane Nelson inspiration activates the turtle back armor.

Yes u can. If u ever want to change ur inspirations however u need to play 7 battles with the ship or boost it with commander xp

Couldn’t you count a modern gun as a firefarter? It does expel gases, how a compensator does its job. It moves the gasses coming out of the barrel up through the holes and therefore pushing the barrel down. TLDR: Guns May have the option to be called Firefarters.

My brother bave you tried swapping out JoJo and his pen perk for cilix amd his 4.5% ap damage increase in finding this way less over pens and more raw damage...

Firefarter....... Eh, is there somebody that is capable of doing incendiary (explosive) farts?😂😂 Italian battleship Giulio Cesare was the second battleship of the Conte de Cavour-class. This WoWS model present in the game was after her reconstruction, in which this Dreadnought was literally converted into a battlecruiser (or fast battleship).

I think Giulio is actually pretty good, she feels like a Battlecruiser rather than a battleship, If anyone wants to know how it feels to use Giulio it feels like a Scharnhorst in mobility

At tier 4 you don't have as much trouble closing the distance plus this thing is actually sneaky enough to get in range before being spotted.

This thing ia deceptive, side on its its very fragile. Bow on its allmost untouchable. When the ship was rebuilt they pretty much built around the old hull so it has 2 bows with one inside. The turrets get knocked out easily though.

Firefarter is my favorite skill. 🤣 And it's a tripod mast.
