KOA’s “Care Camps Big Weekend” went VIRTUAL in 2020, enabling families all over the world to participate in this camping-themed weekend full of fun events from the comfort and safety of their own homes.
Each year, hundreds of KOA Campgrounds across the nation usually host in-person events and fundraisers at the beginning of May for KOA’s “Care Camps Big Weekend”. Unfortunately, COVID-19 restrictions mean that in-person events were not possible. Thanks to the creativity of hundreds of amazing volunteers across the country, Care Camps created a wonderful lineup of fun, interactive events for families looking to find some entertainment and adventure in their own backyards.
Care Camps is a non-profit that helps children impacted by cancer and their families to find hope, healing and fun in the outdoors through 135 special oncology camps throughout the US and Canada.
