The only concern they have is... If that city or the whole country gets illegally ( _legally_ [for those who think that is justified]) seized. And my concern is that there will always be escalation, because i am aware that where there's people who don't want war, there will be others who want war and its not about the government, its the people.

I have visited Ukraine many tumes. the school buildings are typically the only type of buildings in rural areas that have cellars and spaces to house a military unit…. so Russians would 100% figure that out anyway if they new specific village from which some UA unit operates. just saying, but agree mentioning “abandoned school” waa ‘not necessary’

I completed watching the video till the end with a bated breath thinking I might see in the clipping 7 of my friends who had volunteered to fight in Ukraine. We never heard of them since May of this year. Whatever happened to them, I believed they didn't regret being there to find happiness! Happy that they got what they wanted.

Ukraine has definitely shown that a properly motivated and organized military can be tremendously effective against a much larger force even if the majority of them are just salt if the earth guys and not professional soldiers. Never underestimate a group of men fighting for their homes. As soon as I started hearing the reports of Ukrainian men of all ages sending their wives and children off to safety but CHOOSING to stay and fight...I knew Russia was in for a hell of a battle. These Ukrainian men are TOUGH guys who know EXACTLY what they're fighting for.

They were turned away because of their language. Ukrainian foreign legion probably wants people who can speak Ukrainian, English, and other substantial common languages that they can easily form into cohesive battalions where everyone can communicate.

great comments here, thanks for posting. I might add corruption in Ukraine has been under assault since the fall of the Soviet Union. It's a tricky situation bringing together various units. I am not saying there is corruption in this unit. However there were top people in UA that ' allowed ' RA to enter from Crimea more easily. Getting free from soviet / ruzzian corruption lifestyle is a long and difficult process. This historical background is part of the hesitation for NATO and the EU membership application. Glory to all these fighters who volunteered, there is no greater calling in eastern Europe today. They are fighting a battle we should have fought a long time ago. Death to Putin and his cronies, the only answer I see right now. Slava Ukraine !!

As far as I understand, the original plan was to take over Ukraine as whole and install collaborationist ("denazified") government in Kiev .... so its quite a climbdown from the original goals to try to 'liberate' only two provinces now:):) And that's thanks to all those guys fighting russians from Feb 24th

The world knows that the Ukraine coup in 2014 was sponsored by the west. Don't worry your Nazi pals are gradually being eliminated or captured. @@Fydnow Well, I do see a different reality. 'Superpower' Russia was expected to kick UA a** in three days to one week. But suffered massive casualities and losses in armament, withdrew from north Ukraine and THREE months on it still was not to conquer whole Lugansk and Donetsk. I see Russia's reputation of a military power as thing of the past. UA is after all much, much smaller country without income from the west that Russia gets(hundreds of billions of EURs for oil and gas). Nobody has expected russian military to be such a joke. That is main result of the 'Operation', regardless if RU manages to defeat UA in the end

@@letecmig If Russia intended to defeat UA similarly as the U.S. did in Iraq it would have been over sooner than later. Putin did have a miscalculation due to faulty intelligence, but he still managed to control the situation. The intention is not to kill hundreds of thousands of innocents, such as the U.S. and NATO did in Iraq. He is in no rush since he knows that by testing the west, they are not going to do anything except send minor weaponry to show support to the world all the show and pomp nonsense. Who is making the money $$$ in this? It's the western military-industrial complex and oil magnates. Citizens like you and I are just pawn form the elite and politicians.

It's illegal to go there and do this and they will be summarily executed if captured which Russian forces have every right under international law to do so. According to the UN Special Representative to the Secretary-General on Children and Armed Conflict: "International humanitarian law prohibits armed forces and groups from using schools while children and teachers are using them for educational purposes." And according to Human Rights Watch it is "unlawful to use a school simultaneously as an armed stronghold and as an educational center." school was abandoned even before the village was almost abandoned, so no - not a war crime

Naz1s from your country you mean. The insignia on the arm of the 18yr Czech is of the Galacia WaffenSS Battalion who committed some of the worst massacre of civilians in the whole WW2, they were the second or third worst unit in the whole war for war crimes.

@Wictor Tallinn Most Russians who live here in Czech republic support Ukraine as well. We have no problems with them and dont mind them living here. They even did lot of protests of "Russians against the war" in Prague. I guess most of them know why they left Russia and came here. Of course we also have few who support Russian invasion and hate "decandent west". When it comes to those guys, I dont understand, why they live in the "decadent west" when they hate us so much. Overall opinion here seems to be that Russians are normal people just like us, but they let themselves be manipulated by propaganda and corrupt government just like Germans in ww2.

Unfortunately I think they will lose the Donbas region to the Russians, ukraine is fighting at full strength yet the Russians haven't full mobilized, I hope Ukraine can win but its looking less likely
