Way to go Rivian! They had to hit this one out of the park, and not only did they do so with the R2, the R3 and R3X are going to sell like crazy, too. Fantastic, and the vehicles look well thought out and beautifully designed. Awesome!!!!

No, they won't because they won't even in into production. Rivian is not profitable with a high margin car. Consequently they wootcd profitable with a low margin car and unfortunately they have cursed themselves with the osborne effect by showing customers a better version that won't come to market before 2026. People now will stop buying theirR1 S and T and Rivian will be bankrupt before the R2 goes into mass production.

I would think the R3 was custom made for EU, but R2 will work great too.

Rivian your new lineup looks great! I reserved an R2 today. I'm currently a 3rd gen Tacoma owner. I'll probably be keeping the truck for dirty work and dump runs but the R2 looks like it will be perfect as my go to daily driver. I'm interested in seeing how much the 3 motor performance version is going to cost. Hopefully they can keep it under $60k

somebody picture compared the sizing and they found a length between 160 to 161inches for R3. Not sure how correct it is though but it makes sense from the pictures.

Basic instrument crosscheck seems to have worked fine for drivers in 99.9% of scenarios. There's a reason even modern commercial airliners have barely started HUD introductions. They're mostly for increased safety and faster crosscheck in the highest stress scenarios where seconds determine landing capability. A Rivian isn't a commercial airliner. Not saying I wouldn't appreciate a HUD, but millions of customers wouldn't even have the eyesight requirements to make much use of it.

@@user-kl8bq3gu6f hmm I am coming from a s class which has a augmented reality heads up display with a massive center screen and digital cluster which often get no use because I can see everything in the HUD. I can guarantee you if someone experiences a good HUD in a top end luxury vehicle they will want that over giant screens. Also are you sure millions of customers wouldn’t see a hud when it’s literally in your eyesight 24/7 while both driving or not

Why isn't the charging port located on the driver's rear side? This would make it much more difficult to conveniently charge at a V3 station of where it's placed now. Essentially taking up two parking spots. R&D should know those Tesla charging cords are not long.

I think it might be to decrease weight, but isn't glass pretty heavy too? lol Or maybe cause tesla did it they just set a bit of trend. You're right though, I feel like that's a common complaint about gladd roofs and people usually by sun shades for them.

45 lol.most likely half amenities of old truck and still needs nacs adapter to get to best charging option . Like previous r1 looks good and interior is definitely superior to tesla but many missed opportunities ,but 45 k will definitely help more people consider ev but sweet spot is 35k I'm hoping r3 won't be stripped down to nothing just to be affordable .I don't think considering economic times was in rivian mindset like polestar when designed. This being said I like looks and hope rivian can sale enough to be profitable as soo far tesla is only profitable ev and I do like rivian products and design we definitely need to support American auto companies 😅😅😊😊
