Meet Overkill - The Ultimate Peterbilt RatRod | RIDICULOUS RIDES

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

SUBSCRIBE to Barcroft Cars: goo.gl/vbKSU2
A self-confessed ‘gear head’ has taken his love for modification to a whole new level, by transforming his 1984 Peterbilt 359 semi-truck into a monstrous hot rod. Owner Jim Muncy, from Ohio, modified the vehicle so much that he named it ‘Overkill’, and in the space of just five months every component except for its original engine had been customised. When asked how he would describe Overkill, Jim said: “Raw, massive and unique. There’s just nothing else out there like it.”

Awesome build. But as a pipefitter a bunch of those welds hurt my eyes. I'm in central Texas but I can't imagine there isn't another local professional welder that would fix that for burgers, beer, photographs and Sh!ts & Giggles. or just grind it smooth. Still cool and not trying to be mean....just distracting to me personally but.... I'm a random nobody big picture 🤷‍♂️ Love the unique and unusual though. So many builds aren't to me personally. But I'm all for people building something in just about any style that makes them smile .and giggle everytime they turn the key. 😁👍

Quick question..... I honestly don't understand why the front lugnuts don't match the rear ones? So confusing.... because the rear lugnuts have the deep dish style look which is as always awesome, but the front ones just look so bizarre, spikes or no spikes They should all match.

@@danielfinney4295Almost 50yo Welder/ Machinist in Central Texas. Family trade but learned to enjoy it and came back around to it after quite a few years as an autobody guy and custom painter. I'm very particular about both structural strength and the fit and finish and can relate Love unique vehical builds but those welds jumped out and distracted me immediately. 😖 I'm a lot more patient with the youngins that help me than my seniors were with me as an apprentice in any of the trade skills. "Oscar the Grouch" has realitives.😂🤣 I've got an impressive bad arse file collection just for passing pipe visual inspections.😏 Haven't ever busted an X-Ray but that's not bragging.....still about 2-3 hours slower than my father per "bottle". [Natural Gas field refinery units.] I can beat him on thin gauge stuff in general and it's neck and neck on aluminum. Better at soldering but he spanks me like a misbehaving 4yo at Wal-Mart at brazing with a torch but about even with silcone bronze where I perfer the TIG but can "dime" it with a torch to 🤷‍♂️Still not sure why I so often suck at good looking Brass....😔 just sand it down honestly. 😉 But hopefully I'll live long enough to whip it someday. Stay safe, have fun with it if you can and best wishes in your personal as well as professional life. 😁👍
