Indeed they have. I'll be completely honest, I've not seen much of Brad Pitt's work but in this he is absolutely stunning. He plays Joe/Death so well and I love the way he delivers and portrays his character and delivers his lines brilliantly. Stellar acting performances from all of them. Anthony Hopkins, Brad Pitt etc. I completely fell in love with Joe/Death, Susan, Bill & Quince x

I can’t decide what the most beautiful thing in this lovely movie is - the quiet but heartbroken acceptance of Anthony Hopkins’ character towards the inevitability of his fate, Brad Pitt’s Death reaching the impossible understanding of love and sacrifice from his cold but curious, matter-of-fact view of people in the beginning or the musical score.

Rings of power vs. Lord of the rings - the showrunners have told us how these days it's about making money not the best art to then make money - that's why Lotr wouldn't be possible today. Same with Anthony Hopkins - the time of the superstar is over, we have less and less of houshold names, most series/films are filled with nobodies and new actors who will never be heard of again. These are conscious choices the industry has made. I believe the motivation is short term money. The next quarter report.

The aesthetism is over the top, never vulgar or tacky, all détails matched perfectly with the millionnaire environnement. Death meets Death. Death would shit it's pants if Ol Hannibal Lecter said "Yes, dinner."

This movie, in my humble opinion, is one of the greatest movies of all time and I believe it will be one of those timeless movies as well. The writing and the directing are and was as superlative as was the acting with one of the most unique features of this movie lifting this particular cinematic offering higher than the rest, which unique feature was the musical score which had the music being one of the main characters, flawlessly executed. "Meet Joe Black" is a splendid fictional work of art, despite "trespassing" all over scripture, here and there.
