Indeed they have. I'll be completely honest, I've not seen much of Brad Pitt's work but in this he is absolutely stunning. He plays Joe/Death so well and I love the way he delivers and portrays his character and delivers his lines brilliantly. Stellar acting performances from all of them. Anthony Hopkins, Brad Pitt etc. I completely fell in love with Joe/Death, Susan, Bill & Quince x
That's a nice detail that when Death speaks to you, he speaks in a voice you're comfortable with....your own.

were that to be true, i could never accept death. hearing it ring from mine own voice would lead me to believe all is false, that i have succumbed to despair. I would never accept ending from myself, death better be more clever than that if it seeks to take me, my death must be earned, as my life has been.

The question that drives you mad
I love how the glass kinda makes the face of a skull at certain angles.
I can’t decide what the most beautiful thing in this lovely movie is - the quiet but heartbroken acceptance of Anthony Hopkins’ character towards the inevitability of his fate, Brad Pitt’s Death reaching the impossible understanding of love and sacrifice from his cold but curious, matter-of-fact view of people in the beginning or the musical score.

Scenes like this one make me shake my head at modern cinema. We should be doing stuff that's BETTER than this regularly. Yet we barely get anything this good.

Anthony Hopkins is just that good. He almost made Marvel's Thor movie good. There are some scenes like this that are just dialogue (no action) between him and Tom Hiddleston's Loki that were so beyond the scale of that movie.

@@Real_Beaky I don't think it's a boomer thing. Rings of power vs. Lord of the rings - the showrunners have told us how these days it's about making money not the best art to then make money - that's why Lotr wouldn't be possible today. Same with Anthony Hopkins - the time of the superstar is over, we have less and less of houshold names, most series/films are filled with nobodies and new actors who will never be heard of again. These are conscious choices the industry has made. I believe the motivation is short term money. The next quarter report.

One of the best scenes ever filmed in Cinema. A Masterclass in acting, lighting, cinematography and music.
Him coming closer as the clock ticks and time passes until hes staring you in the face, great showing that he is death itself.
Its the subtle little details that play on the subconscious... the ticking of the clock, signifying the eternal march of time towards our inevitable end... the way the clocks ticking, skips one beat as Joe answers the question "is he death?..."

My favorite movie ever. Watched a million Times but never enough. Deep, philosophical and excellent lines. The aesthetism is over the top, never vulgar or tacky, all détails matched perfectly with the millionnaire environnement. Claire Forlani was delicate, smart and naïve in her rôle, Sir Hopkins gave deepness to the movie, the music by Thomas Newman is the best in Cinema History.

This is one of my favorite movies they are such wonderful actors and they play with each other so well what a treat for us!!
Fun fact: Brad Pitt is now the same age Anthony Hopkins was during the filming of this movie.
Great film. Death & Taxes...
This is the exact same scene that is played out with Claire near the end. But she says "Joe" instead of Death - but she was thinking it!
This is one of those essential masterpieces that should be required viewing. Be kind. Always.
The script is beautiful and Fantastic!! Major kudos to the writer!! Bill’s little speech about love in the helicopter is a masterpiece!
Hopkins is a fantastic actor. Pitt ain’t to shabby either or neither whichever. Saw this last year. Great movie.
Beautiful Movie 🎬 ❤. I Love the scene at the hospital, when the Elderly lady looked at Joe and saw him for what truly was; & asked him to take her pain away❤😢❤😢❤
So, after all those years, I just noticed that Joe Black's steps at 4:50 sound like an old clock with a pendulum.

This is the second movie that they made together, the first one was legends of the fall.
Did they blend Pitt and hopkins voices for this scene? a reflection of the self that death would be? subtle.
Such magnificent acting. Utterly brilliant stuff. ❤
Such a great movie, just watched it again yesterday.
This movie is on KZread by the way.
Fine fine actors and great acting
This is one of my favorite shows!
kinda odd that now brad pitt is only a couple years younger than Hopkins was here
This scene is very inspiring and instructive. Do not waste time or procrastinate your personal or professional goals once you reach 60 years old. Time starts running out. The cause of your death will reveal itself. Joe Black will start talking to you. Movement in space = time
I remember watching this movie as a kid. It still holds up.
What a well made movie
Interesting stimulus for the facing of death. It can/may be generative or fear, and or am I crazy, response, however the least satisfactory though temporary outcome is not to be fully cognizant that there is no death for most. A change of perceptions. timing out of rhe body. Awakening!

Two amazing actors, stunning movie 😅
Talk about the dulcet tones of the human voice.
It is true that we always scared of Death But when we know Its Real We welcoming it like it was old friend
The opening scene is still my favorite.
Not my sort of film really but when you watch it's one of the best films I've seen in decades and definitely the best music , Thomas Newman and Anthony Hopkins are out of this world here.
2 absolute greats
I first watched this movie as a double VHS. That's how it originally came.
A problem with a lot of modern movies is that they don't leave any moments to themselves. They must have music in the background, no ifs, ands, or buts. Funny thing about a Quiet Place is that is didn't pave that path. It cleaned it up and showed people who breathtaking it could be. This scene epitomizes how good ambiance and sound design should be used
Piękny film 😊
Brad Pitt did a brilliant scary job of this
I love this movie
Absolutely a awesome movie .
Brad Pitt is now older than Anthony Hopkins was in this film.
That, my friends, is vocal expression personified.
A master piece movie
When all your wealth, power, intellect, talents, skills, desires and contributions count for nothing. All your being laid bare like a page in a chronical titled 'Life.' Two kinds of terror arrive. The first in that such a creature noticed you. The second in that it meddled, ..and you had absolutely no control over the resulting causality.
I really have to see this movie .

Death meets Death. Death would shit it's pants if Ol Hannibal Lecter said "Yes, dinner."
This movie, in my humble opinion, is one of the greatest movies of all time and I believe it will be one of those timeless movies as well. The writing and the directing are and was as superlative as was the acting with one of the most unique features of this movie lifting this particular cinematic offering higher than the rest, which unique feature was the musical score which had the music being one of the main characters, flawlessly executed. "Meet Joe Black" is a splendid fictional work of art, despite "trespassing" all over scripture, here and there.
Nice
How to act without barely moving or saying a word, truly amazing.
