Don't feel down. Keep working hard. Apart from solving coding challenges, build small projects, clone some projects and modify. Get the hang of actual production tools. That will help you showcasing your skills. Your portfolio would be much better.

Why on earth do I have to install the same model three times for three different apps? Isn't it like having to download python 3 times over for executing three different codebases requiring the same version? Shouldn't it be more like, I download the model once and all the apps can just find it or I can tell them where it is? Seems like a no-brainer to me. Good video btw, thanks for it!! I would never read and understand these features myself without spending enough time which i dont usually always have.

If you're referring to using local LLMs in both our Desktop App and plugins with browsers, IDEs and productivity tools, our big product release later today will fix this, as we unified the copilot codebase so it is exactly the same experience across your workflow.

@@getpieces No. I mean, I have LM Studio, I have to download various models using lmstudio for it to allow me to use a local model. Lets says I downloaded mixtral. I also have olama, with which I can use mistral but I cant use the already downloaded model. I have to download mistral again via olama CLI. Now, on pieces too I have to download the same models for local usage. Imo a good app should use/list the already downloaded the models and enable me to use them. Right now everyone is making me dowload models left and right as if space is free for me. Its not. I hope this situation improve. Feels this is being done on purpose to maintain dependency on the cloud models. Please tell me if this is some technical problem which cant be solved yet or just nobody wants to do it because they want profits from the cloud business.
