Meet Bob Dylan, 1986 - part 4 of 4: Bob and Grizzly the wrestler...

Ойын-сауық

This was filmed in a car park in Hamilton, Ontario, in 1986 while Bob Dylan was playing the part of retired rockstar 'Billy Parker' in a Hollywood movie called HEARTS OF FIRE, directed by Richard Marquand (JAGGED EDGE, RETURN OF THE JEDI). This was the closing scene of a BBC TV 'Omnibus' documentary called GETTING TO DYLAN.

That is how he prefer it.. Any camera or a journalist or whatever that interfere with him puts him out of his element. But here he just let it roll and ignores it. Casual Bob is the best Bob. If you meet him, never be a journalist, or ask him too much shit. Bob is best if you level with him the way he levels with you. Just stick to ordinary behaviour and leave out any starstruck BS.

Every time I see Bob interact with his fans it touches my heart. He certainly made Grizzly feel special when he gave him attention. Bob knows what high esteem many people have for him. I saw another video with no sound in which a timid older woman approaches Bob for a graph. She is afraid to look him in the eye the timidly says "Thankyou". Bob Dylan is a special human being with a deep love of people that's for sure. As was said at the end of this video---WE LOVE YA BOB!!!

When I was living in Washington DC I was standing on the street one day in front of a book store and reading a map of the downtown area. This dude walks out of the store and says ' it doesn't matter which way you go in this town ' . and sits on the sidewalk behind me with his back against the building. I just smiled and nodded but as I glanced back I had to do the double take. It was Dylan , by himself. He opened and started reading a book called A Stillness at Appomattox by Bruce Catton . I told him I was planning to visit Antietam and he said ' you'll enjoy it, its just as it was in September 1863' . We had a nice conversation til a girl pulled up in a big yellow Bonneville sedan and Bob said. ' Here's my ride , nice talkin' to you ' and got in .

Bob Dylan uses both his right and left side of his brain to produce as Joesph Campbell put it in the 1988 'Power of Myth' program with Bill Moyers, "to produce humanity". Bob Dylan also uses his right hand to sketch his interviewer in the previous parts and in this part 4 he ambidextrously signed an autograph left handed. I wonder if he was then in the Billy Parker character he was playing in that movie Hearts of Fire (1987)

Notice, Dylan writes with both hands (X Cause when he was drawing the picture of that guy he was drawing with his right, now he's signing auto's with his left. Makes him all the more cool.
