Medication Antidotes and Reversal Agents Explained CLEARLY!
In this lesson, we take a quick look at the most common antidotes, or drugs that we use to reverse the effects of another medication given. These are the ones that you will very well see in the ICU and knowing these medications, when to use them, as well as the proper dosage, will be of invaluable help when it comes to needing to use them. Oftentimes, this happens in an emergent situation and thus knowing these will help you to respond quicker.

Any truth to the teaching that large doses of naloxone may precipitate non-cardiogenic pulmonary edema?

Great question. Sounds like it is a thing. I've never personally seen or, or probably given large enough single doses. I'm guessing the continuous dose over time has different effects, but again I haven't personally seen this to have much background to speak to.
