Medically Assisted Sex: Inside the Controversial World | Slutever

Ойын-сауық

"For people with physical disabilities sex, sexual function, a lack of experience, or just the path to getting off can be isolating and just plain awkward. However, a group of sex surrogates has pioneered a radical hands-on approach called ""medically assisted sexuality"" to help fulfill the sexual needs of people with handicaps.
In this episode of 'Slutever,' host Karley Sciortino investigates this culturally taboo sex therapy treatment, and meets the clients and practitioners straddling the line between sex therapy and sex work.

02:11 Should sex be a right for everyone?

I know this may seem worrisome, but plenty of people do this.. many many women stay with men or women with disabilities to be taken care of by the disability checks. If you think about it… women do that to men who aren’t disabled. I’ll be very honest when I say women don’t care anymore I’m this day and time. But if you can’t buy a woman Prada and cars and a nice house then your chances of finding even a shitty girlfriend is slim. Women are 80% of consumers in America. They take what they make at their job and take most of your check too. That’s life. If you don’t want to spend the money, get a fleshlight.

Actually, most escorts have serviced a few handicapped people in their time charging standard rates, no extra training except an open heart and creative sex, and intense foreplay.. Was very impressed with this clip and All the people in it. I was just surprised that the public didn't realize that a handicapped person still has feelings inside and out.

"I have to advocate for myself because, if not, who is going to do it?" This is such absolute truth for folks with disability or chronic illness, regarding sex or really any other area of life. No one else is looking out for us. We lean on each other. But mostly ourselves.

"God punished their soul for past issues" or what have u 🙄 it can get pretty brutal out there. Ive seen disabled people with missing feet, legs, etc do things that bring huge smiles to their face to live a happy life. More happy than a regular person with all parts and no disability. That says alot about a disabled persons character and emtional strength. Whats missing is one area, they make up for it in other areas.

When it comes to sex literally everyone has to advocate for themselves, who do you know that has had anyone advocate for that person to have sex? If I want to get laid, that's up to me to make happen just as it is for everyone else. I hate the idea of men being allowed to buy women like items on the shelf at a store just because they are disabled. But that's just my 2 cents, regardless the "argument" about no one advocating for disabled people's sexual life is ridiculous at best and misogynistic and evil at worst.

I wish this service was available to able bodied people, but apparently, that's just straight up prostitution. I've been alone for years, and the biggest part of it is that I just don't want to be bothered by the whole process of getting to the goal of the bedroom. It just takes too much time, energy, and effort that I don't have. Making the first move, making myself vulnerable to a rejection, having to say just the right things to try and get a phone number, going on several dates and spending time, money, and energy on a person that can still reject me from the convenience of her phone. Not for me. Dating sucks. I'd much rather pay someone like this guy gets to do. This is the only pay to win game that I actually like.

@@bluemidnight5926 I couldn't agree more. I'm a single mom to 3 kids. I don't have the time for all the sorting and vetting it takes to find someone trusting enough to be a dependable booty call and not a serial killer lol. Why we haven't got on board with having a few bunny ranches in each state is beyond me. It would make casual sex safer and would decrease the spread of stds and sexual assaults by having a system in place to provide health and background screening to be eligible. But no, people would rather pretend like sex is some private, individual risk we should just hush up about until something horrible happens and then fight over how to punish and who to blame after the fact. Meh. I'd much rather be able to order and schedule it like a burger and a back massage. 😁😂

feeling "horny" and being disabled to the point where you are willing to pay for sex just to feel the touch of a woman are two very different things, horny is just the desire to orgasm. people who need services like these are touch starved and desperate for intimacy, an issue far beyond orgasm.

I'm a sex worker in the US. I participated in a panel of sex workers doing a q&a with medical and mental health professionals. We all talked about how rewarding seeing disabled clients is. It's an absolute joy to know you're giving something NEEDED. Seeing a documentary when I was younger about the NHS (UK) covering the cost of a trip to Amsterdam is what solidified in my mind that sex work is what I wanted to do for a living. It just makes sense. Humans NEED intimacy, and for one reason or another a lot of people have trouble finding it, and it brings me no greater joy than to help people with that. Listening to the intimacy coach describing what she gets out of her sessions is exactly how I feel about my job, too. I couldn't have said it better. Thanks for being open!

I have a childhood friend whose oldest brother had severe MR and lived his whole life in an institution until he died a few months ago at the age of 45. I remember being in high school and wondering if/how the brother's sexual needs were being addressed by the people caring for him. I felt so sick and dirty for even having that thought and aside from an offhand rhetorical question I'd mentioned to the friend (which was obviously met with disdain and immediately shut down), I never told a soul or attempted to discuss it or even look further into it. Then I saw this video. Now I feel so much better about having considered such a thing, especially at a young age in the early 2000s. They ARE human. They HAVE these needs, JUST like I do. I WASN'T sick. I WASN'T WRONG TO WONDER. I'm so glad this intimacy coaching exists for the people in need. Rest in peace, Alex 🤍

"Everyone has sexual needs", however the need for sex for disable women is NEVER mentioned in this video and in the comment section. Not one single time. So once again we are talking about male sexual entitlement here. The belief that men are owed sex on account of their maleness. NOBODY is entitled to sex, and sex is not "A BASIC HUMAN RIGHT" wtf 😅 .You might want it (and it has nothing to do with being disable or not, good looking or not etc etc) and not have it. Why providing free sexual services to disabled men would be an altruistic service ? Why should anyone be entitled to sex by basically arguing that they are undatable?? What about men that are conventionally unattractive and those with poor hygiene? Should they also be provided for? To those who say "this is awesome, it should be legal in every country", you are basically saying "this is awesome, women prostitution should be legal in every country" . A person who is disable can totally reach out escort/prostitutes services like anyone else nowadays, and most sex worker won't have any issue with it. Plus, the assumption that nobody would ever have sex with a disabled person through personal choice is not only inaccurate, it’s also offensive.

Sex positivity varies from culture to culture. In Japan, where I was born, the idea of a young woman trying to explain to her family and friends that she's an AV actress. Is so culturally distant, it's literally impossible. Sex work could never be treated as "real work" in Japan. It could never be treated as "like any other job." It's just Literally unimaginable. I can't even imagine it if I try as hard as I can to make it work, the pieces just don't go together. Lmfao. This is a culture that still puts a lot of emphasis on purity. A culture where ~90% of the women never end up in the full time workforce and are professional wives basically. And that figure only drops slightly in the big cities. Body counts are low across the board, PIV is way less frequent compared to the west (source: 6'3 conventionally attractive guy, American citizen, native English speaker, went to college in New York city.) It's just different. Too different to even begin to have this conversation lol. Like, it's not much different from the "china/Japan are racist against dark skin" argument. For one thing, yes, but virtually every country on planet earth is extremely racist towards dark skin. Japan, china, Korea, the middle east, India especially, south America, USA, Europe. And second of all, Japan is 99% pale. Between Japanese, and white foreigners. It's literally >99% pale skin, how do you even start to have a conversation about race with numbers looking like that. Or the idea that japanese video games, anime and manga, light novels, VNs, etc are the least politically correct things imaginable from a Western perspective, you've got rape and dubcon, you've got traditional gender roles, you've got lolis, you've got the run of the mill titty zoom in shots and jiggle physics, upskirt shots etc, hard to imagine a western show or game doing much if any of that, they would probably see it as sexual objectification, or so on. Long story short, it's not as simple as "I don't see why X shouldnt be the same everywhere." As a disability support practitioner that works with clients with cerebral palsy, degenerative diseases, and all sorts of disabilities both mental and physical. It is truly remarkable that there seems to be this notion that dictates that a person with a disability must have no desire of experiencing the touch of another person. I can say for a fact I have assisted gentlemen in the shower by giving them the showerhead and letting them rest it on their genitals as a form of stimulation. People think that may be disgusting but I guarantee you that almost everyone has done similar things whether that be now or when we were teenagers exploring our bodies and discovering sexual stimulation. One man, in particular, I gave the showerhead to was a man that was dating a lady he lived with at a group home and was trying to practice in the hopes of one day being able to embrace his significant other. They are human, the same as you and I.

This really made me smile. Thank you for being one of the good workers out there. I used to be a disability worker and then I became disabled myself so I've seen how ableist the disability sector can be from both sides. Having desires for intimacy and sexuality is part of being a human being and it's sad how many people don't think that way about people with disabilities.

Agreed but there's a good chance Spencer's dad has used the services of a sexworker before in his own life at least once 🤣 Seeing sexworkers is a lot more common than people like to assume and clients come from literally all ages and walks of life, the very young to the very old, religious and non-religious, abled and disabled, those blessed with good looks and those who are not. It's just the fact that it's so scandalized and stigmatized that prevents people from openly talking about it.

This honestly is so super important in my opinion. Most of us who aren’t physically disabled and have sex consistently forget that besides the pleasure, it is also a connection. Even if it’s with someone you probably won’t have in your life a long time it’s still a very intimate connection. And it should make sense that even disabled people still crave this. It’s human nature.

I feel like touching sensually can completely change somebody’s mood and demeanor entirely the other direction. Disabled people deserve this if they truly need it, and whoever understands this has every right to volunteer. It’s not about the sex purely. It’s the experience they need, to feel like an actual person. These experiences come naturally in our world, but for the disabled it is almost never going to happen.
