    I actually don't agree. I hope she'll increasingly find the strength in letting herself be vulnerable, feel and express the earthquake of emotions from living such a rough life - for the times she wasn't cared for and held tight, and for the times she didn't hold herself tight

    It's not strength, it's tough hide. She is strong! For holding on to sanity so far. But that there is walling herself off from the camera and interviewer, which is understandable, really. I think that might be why it is so hard to deter young girls from the life - you never EVER get the entire story, the entire struggle. She cannot tell her niece EXACTLY how bad this life is, because then she might break down herself.

    I came from a wonderful family. Fell into prostitution and stripped for 20 years. Drugs alcohol total insanity. Raped, bitten, lit on fire, beat up, guns to my head and knives to my throat and left for dead. It's a life that just gradually happened to me and then it was the norm. I was able to switch off emotions whenever I needed to. I had a madam for years until I went out on my own. Lived that life for 20 years. Thank God I survived. Now I am a proud woman in recovery and I wouldn't change a thing about my past. I get her totally.

Often our brains remove what we cannot handle and that's a ok ! If anything pops up ever, take it for what it's worth and know the brain has handled it all so far and will assist in any healing it shows is needed. Big hugs and soo proud of you !

    When we talk about being a “prostitute” at 13 years old - we are actually talking about a child who has been a victim of child sexual exploitation. We should be making this clear in our terminology. A pimp is an organised criminal who should be prosecuted and the clients jailed. Children cannot consent when they are being enforced to do something. Hoping she can find the help/support she needs to find freedom from this oppression!

Not just the obstacles and barriers that generational trauma has caused , but what has happened to our physical planet by suppressing the wisdom of a sustainable culture. I think about it so often waking in the woods near where I live. Of the tribes that once dwelled here, when the water was clean and there was wildlife. Now the rivers are polluted and full of trash, the air is heavy. When the stewards of the earth were forced out… look what has happened. Where are they now? I want to know and would love for you to help us learn these stories.

    Everyone talking about the pimps and drugs but let’s talk about the childhood trauma that started all of this for her. The real root of the problem is America’s foster care system. Maybe if we started by fixing that then we can prevent more of this in the future. Update: I’m glad that I was able to start a meaningful discussion wether or not you agree with where the “root” of the problem is. One thing I want to address is the question of how to fix the foster care system. Here’s my suggestion 1. Lee siblings together 2. Reduce, eliminate or demand more accountability when it comes to financial assistance to foster patents. So many children are abused in the system because the foster parents took in a child for the money and not because they genuinely want to help a child. Some foster parent get anywhere between $400- $600 per month for each child. Either reduce or eliminate that and there won’t be an incentive for people to invite children into their homes that they don’t want. Or Have foster parents to present receipts and bills to account for every dime they receive on behalf of the child. 3. Wellness checks inside the home on a monthly basis. Or require that each child in foster care see a therapist or a regular. Therapist and psychiatrist must report any abuse and it’s a great way to check the wellness of the child. If I’m not mistaken foster care children can get free medical. Not sure though. And for those who say the bio parents are the root. I say I partially agree but have to disagree because if that were true then children adopted as babies would have the same trauma. Or every child who had divorced parents or a single parent would have the same trauma. Point is if you watch enough of these interviews you will find that foster care is the common denominator. Children who have been physically, sexually, and emotionally abused in foster care have a very high chance of being in a situation like this. These are just some suggestions. Let’s keep the conversation going. How can we make our foster care system better?

  • @jasonnewby

    @jasonnewby

    Yes, you can trace nearly everyone's problems to childhood trauma, which often times childhood trauma happens because parents are suffering from mental illness and addiction (which go hand in hand), take the kids away and put them with strangers, move from place to place, never feel secure, never feel loved and then you wonder why they reach to drugs. they weren't safe with their parents, they weren't safe in the system. how can we help these kids from becoming drug addicted prostitutes?

It’s so hard that more support isn’t available in the US for children leaving the care system. In the UK, children leaving care at 18 are entitled to support from their local authority until they are at least 21. This can be through being paid each month to stay in further education, accommodation, free education and continued advise and support. ❤ I really hope the US brings in more care and support for children in care and leaving care.

    @September Moon I don’t think she chose to live in a world so broken people have to ensure abuse and literally getting permanent ink scratched into their face in order to make a living. How ruthless of a person do YOU have to be? Clearly you side with the pimps that think physically harming women, people who are physically smaller and are at an anatomical disadvantage against a man in a fight, and you think that’s fair? What’s wrong with you? You’ve either gone through so much hurt in your life that you’ve come to the conclusion that humans being BEATEN deserve that. Do u go up to people and say hit me or something? No. It’s not a fucking choice. She needs to make a living and said herself why she’s doing what she has to even if it fills her with regret and doesn’t like how she went back to it after her kids. You think people LIKE living through shitty conditions in order to make it another day on this world? You live a sad life. Unlike you, I don’t go saying whose worthy and unworthy of my feelings. It’s not a matter of “bitch chose it”, it’s a matter of acknowledging someone as a fucking human being. No humans deserve to go through what she is and worse. It’s people like you who say they chose it who add to the problem instead of help these people out of it. Blame them instead of acknowledging the problem is what’s truly wrong here. You have a worse heart than her, how does THAT make you feel about yourself? It should make you think long and hard about why you’re able to live with yourself while shunning and disrespecting the injuries and abuse done on others. Fix your own life before you go bashing others for fucks sake.

    As Denzel Washington said it best, "It all starts in the home", and feminists are making it harder for men as well, there are soo many contributing factors, BUT its mainly absent FATHERS that make these types of women sadly, and its crappy mothers who think they dont need a man to raise a child without help, therefore this is the primary result of what happens to people like her. Most women knows someone who was r*ped or SA. But you would be hard pressed to find a man that knows a r*pist or assaulter. Take a moment to hink of that. VERY VERY few men would hold their friend accountable. It's always pushing it off and shouting "NOT ALL MEN" or women do it too. It's sick. They find most other men's action to be "flirting" and women playing "hard to get". It's fun and games. Many men don't see anything wrong when their friends are sexually aggressive towards women or won't take no for an answer. They find it funny when the women get anxious or angry or agitated when they get un her space and keep harassing her. So Gabe ask your self if u the bystander or the aggressor or will you jest say I am never involve or I never see. If u falk into these categories u are apart of the problem.

    Such a strong girl. I pray she can leave this lifestyle and get the help she needs to recover and heal. She is so intelligent and has so much potential 💔 I hope she was safe after this interview. Stay strong, girl!

    She’s very well spoken for someone who had so little education. It’s a pity that the system failed her early on, and so she didn’t have the basic opportunities that so many of us take for granted. She’s still young though, and I hope that she’ll be able to create a better life for herself and her kids.

    HER PARENTS FAILED HER! Why blame the system? Now she has created children in the same exact situation.. Not the "system's" fault at all.

    @@ibetrollintheybehatin6857 You're not trolling. There are all kinds of girls with happy families who might even be wealthy and they are intentionally living this kind of life style because they want to. Nobody really does it in the street anymore though, they don't even have to leave the house to have an onlyfans. In a way society in general failed her because too many women are looking up to her in this video like some kind of role model.

    Her parents failed her. The breakdown of families is a primary reason for the collapse of our civilization. It is heartbreaking to see.
