Here is a "homework" idea so that you can master the vocabulary! Translate the following dialogue and leave your translation here in the comments! I'll comment back with any necessary corrections! :D Doctor: Good morning! How are you? Patient: Fine! And you? Doctor: Great! My name is ... I'm your doctor/nurse/etc. Patient: Nice to meet you. Doctor: I see you're here for your diabetes. [Feel free to be creative and continue the dialogue!] Interested in practicing the dialogue and perfecting your pronunciation?? Check the link in the description for tutoring lessons!

I always learned the "ll" had a "y" sound for Spanish. So I looked it up. The "y" sound is the most commonly used, and the "j" sound is the second common pronunciation. It just depends on the country you are in. ❤

I’m a nurse and we always have Spanish speaking patients that I need an interpreter for. This is something I think all healthcare workers should have some ability to do (including myself and I need a lot of help!) this is perfect!

I'm so glad to find your channel! I just started an online course for medical interpreting. I do hope there is still a need for this particular vocation, as of course my hope is to find some job at the end of the journey =) If I am proficient in English and Spanish do you imagine I'll be able to find work as an interpreter? Thank you so much!

Hello Sheelie! How exciting that you've started a course to become a medical interpreter! I'm certain that there will still be a need by the time you're certified. The demand for English-Spanish interpreters is very high. Which country/state do you live in?

Hello Alfredo! Great question, I took a course through a local college so this might be an option for you. If you're interested in an online course, you can consider this one: medicalinterpretingtrainingschool.com/40-hour-program-spanish-medical-interpreters/ I haven't taken it personally, but one of my students recommends it! 😃
