I absolutely LOVE your style of conducting the material and essentially having this video available has been a great-great reference; I begin my Scribe career on the 24th of this month and, with a slight experience prior with such, I am more than excited to getting back in the medical field, for sure! Hi Kelly! The chance of obtaining a job as a medical scribe is POSSIBLY in the works for me and I am so excited. I am also a self-employed medical transcriptionist, and have been for many many years. I am super excited, but honestly a little scared about this because I have absolute no formal training. I know that listening to anyone via headphones with the inability to rewind is so different from what I am used to doing. Is your beta testing still available? I am SO interested in this and would be excited to get started as soon as possible.

Hi Kelly! I was just offered a medical scribe position in a doctor's office and have no training whatsoever as a scribe. I am a self employed medical transcriptionist and I'm a little scared to venture out because I have no formal training as a scribe. Listening to a doctor through headphones, being able to rewind and re-listen is one thing; I imagine standing right next to the doctor while he dictates is a totally different world! Lol I'm interested in your beta testing as well!

Congratulations on graduating! The training path to become a scribe completely depends on who hires you. You have two routes. The first is the fastest-a medical scribe staffing company. Many scribe companies hire fast, with no experience required, and will offer in-house training. The second is to be hired directly by a physician or hospital. This route typically pays 50-75% more than a scribe staffing company. The trade-off is they want a certification like the one my organization is in beta for developing. If you would like to be added to the beta-tester list (FREE certification in exchange for feedback on how we can improve) let me know! I hope this helps. Let me know what other questions you have :)

Would it be possible for me to get access to this course? I am currently working as a scribe in a private family practice clinic and I did not have any formal training, so I feel really overwhelmed. Watching your videos are really helpful. I would love access to more!

Hi Gelin! Good question. The quickest route to become a scribe is to work for a medical scribe staffing company, they will provide all the training and certification. Hey Navid! Thank you for watching. The books I recommend are "Medical Scribe's Guide" by Kim Kwiatek, MD and "Ultimate Medical Scribe Handbook: General Edition" 2nd Edition by Kyle Kingsley, MD, Aaron Thompson and Emily O'Brien. Both are on Amazon and offer Prime Delivery. Hope this helps!

Hello! Congratulations on the shift in your career. Yes, you will be ready to apply for jobs after lecture four. You will know the basics to get a position. Medical scribe staffing companies will supplement with their own training. I will be offering a full training *with certification* that will start beta testing in June.
