this whole thing is so surreal...my nursing program transferred to completely online today until further notice as well...including labs and clinicals... its all so crazy. I hope it doesn't last long :( as you know, there is no replacement for hands-on clinical practice

same but were doing clinical assignments and lab stuff by phone call/ a ft thing (weird). they're just calling and giving us case studies I think and asking what we would hypothetically do for the patient. apparently it works as a clinical replacement for the accrediting agency?

Europe's a mess as well. In Czech rep. they closed all schools, borders with Austria and Germany, you cant leave the country, attend any 10+ people events and I think they are planning to close all shops except for grocery s., drugstores and pharmacies as well. The gov. is trying to avoid an Italy type scenario at all cost. And I had some really great courses this semester ...

It’s so weird watching this vlog now after seeing how COVID has progressed the last few months, when this started we never thought it was going to end up like this

In Latvia all uni’s, schools are closed. Today I had my first online histology class which was livestreamed- gonna live like this till 14.04.

My medical school is also doing online classes for the rest of the semester. Canceled the clinical portion of our curriculum. Saying goodbye to everyone this week was awful, but it's the right move from a population health perspective.

I live in Georgia and my school went online for the rest of the semester as well. My school doesn’t allow online courses so this is a new territory for all of us. Trying not to stress while all my classes are art courses and don’t transfer so well online, but we’re all here together to learn and be here for each other 🙏🏼

I'm planning on applying to medical school this summer, however I've been hearing that MCAT dates are getting cancelled up till May (my date) so I rescheduled the date.... but it's nearing app deadlines for med schools. I really hope they accommodate and extend deadlines or move the app period.

My courses are also being moved to online, I'm from Mexico but I live near the border to the US, there are less than 10 cases in my city, but since we're so close and so vulnerable in the city, schools have started to close campus, for now, we will be like that for a month. In my university, we start until march 23rd and expect that our last day like that will be april 17th... 3 weeks of school+ 1 week of spring break, sucks for programs like medicine or engineering (just an example, don't freak out ppl) but these programs are very practical, meaning that we have to be doing stuff and the topics tend to be hard, by hard I mean that is not the same when you get the lectures online rather than having the lecture on campus... well... in other words... IT SUCKS FOR EVERYONE. We should all be united, between countries and cultures. :(

My medschool and other schools in the country has been closed. I study in Europe and the country I’m in has closed its borders to w number of countries affected including UK so if I decided to go home I wouldn’t be allowed back in the country for a month 😬

Huhuhu lucky! You guys had your finals! We were supposed to have exams but then our president announced a community-wide quarantine and class suspension for a month. So we're gonna be lacking one exam on our grade so it will be harder to bring up our general averages :(( I'm honestly wondering how this will affect the quality of our education.

My school closed too. I'm freaking out but trying not to because I'm totally a visual student in so much as I have never done an online course, and now all of my courses are being transferred into the online format until 4/8 or maybe even till the end of the semester. They are going to re-evaluate the situation to see how necessary it is to continue the isolation protocols to prevent COVID-19. Kinda irritating honestly but I get it about the isolation thing... I think I would be a lot less anxious if I had ever taken an online course before... Ack...

In Romania all highschools, schools, kindergardens and almost all the universities are closed due to COVID-19 until March 31st. For medical schools it is possible for the year to be frozen, I am really worried about this cause I barely passed a semester and done some plans for summer ^^'

How are you going to organise and motivate yourself to avoid being unproductive? In my country, med schools have closed too and it looks like they won't reopen for awhile, we're all in a limbo like-situation in which our schools are trying to figure out what they're going to do with our teaching... but meanwhile we have time to do some catching up with our studies, the issue is that there's no deadline whatsoever, so it's kind of easy to end up doing almost nothing....
