I'm also LGBTQWhateverwecallourselvesnow and I'm all for people calling out *actual* homophobes and racists and all that other shit, but frankly it's low on the totem pole and there's a lot of attention drawn to subjects that are very much not an issue and pandered around as if they're the biggest issue to distract from actual issues and god awful shit. Jordan's views on this don't entirely mirror my own but the slander he gets for racism and homophobia would be much better placed on some much much more morally corrupt people who actually do hate people for their sexuality and heritage

The first jordies video I saw was back in 2019 and I remember watching some others and feeling a kneejerk reaction to some of the content, because of the humour and style, and not knowing much about jordies then I was like, 'oh noes, problematic' but then, I stepped back, asked myself why I was uncomfortable and decided based on the previous stuff I'd enjoyed to look a LITTLE DEEPER, and found that in context, like all comedy, is where the value lies. And this was just for a youtuber I was exploring, if I was being PAID to write about him as a JOURNALIST id do my bloody due diligence lol. Being uncomfortable is the first step in growing, you just have to put in the effort to figure out why that is and if it's justifiable

Last time I witnessed a slaying so brutal it was the Ides of March.

Considering the context of all of the gladiatorial references jordan made, i think it's fairly safe to assume the rubicon namedrop is referencing the historically significant crossing of the rubicon by caesar, and not about getting your socks wet trudging through a stream.
