Media capture | Matteo Trevisan | Schuman Shorts #73

Media capture is a systemic governance problem that occurs when political actors or interest groups networking with politics control a given media system, limiting a free and plural information flow. In this video, Research Associate Matteo Trevisan, describes this phenomena and the different mechanisms it can be exerted.
Matteo Trevisan works at the Centre for Media Pluralism and Media Freedom, that each year publishes the Media Pluralism Monitor to assess the potential weaknesses in national media systems that may hinder media pluralism.
