Well I thought it's about time I shown you all why I haven't been as active with uploads as of late. Say hello to my band "Mechanized"! We're quite new and are still working on polishing up a few things, but we have our first gig booked for May this year! @@Axiohm Thanks! it's much appreciated, really pleased there are Pantera fans who like our stuff. Our vocalist doesn't sound like Phil(obv not many people do), but he does have some real harsh vocals, more in the style of Randy Blythe/Angela Gossow, so he could pull off a cover, but we wouldn't want to do a Pantera cover having 2 guitarists, I think we have a more melodic thrash/death kind of vibe over all.

Is it just me, or is the other guitar player doing his best impressions of the bass tracks on AJFA? He's barely audible on my sound system.

The only reason there might be a SLIGHT diference in volume is on our "lead" parts because his lead isn't a solo as such, it's to go behind vocals, so we have diferent tones for that. Other than that I have no idea why you can't hear it because the levels of the rhythm were matched almost identically when mixing. Try it on something else like a mobile device with headphones maybe? 🤷‍♂️

@@h8tnlife Well usually if it were something I would spend more time mixing on I would play the file back on different devices to make sure everything sounded good, but I went over this quite a bit through my monitors changing the volumes back and forward and it all sounded fine 🤷‍♂️ the only thing I can think of is that I had slightly more mids in my tone, so if you're playing it back through speakers that have a naturally scooped eq structure then there won't be much audible mids left. I was in a rush to get this out though as it was just going to be for our FB page originally... now it makes it look like I'm TRYING to be heard more 😕

Thanks man. Well we're still getting our footing at the mo, we WERE practicing fairly regularly and even had a gig booked in Bristol, but obviously because of Covid we've had to put everythjng on hold. I still need to write a few solos too and we need vocals for a few tracks, so there's still work to be done. Once we've got a full set nailed then we'll be out there more!
