Machine demonstrating the conversion of rotary motion to reciprocating motion using gears. The bottom pair of gears drives the mechanism.
You can also look at some unusual mechanisms that demonstrate the work of various mechanical principles.

@@valdenm some people need more instruction than others, don't gatekeep.
I think it would be cool if you took boring old Lego play features and upgraded them with technic.
That double lever contraption would become really interesting if you had different gearing between the top and middle cogs!
