totally understand. i currently use a NuPhy Halo 75 with haimu heartbeat silent linear switches. quiet and still feels nice to type on.

Yo! I’m currently rocking the Akko 75B plus with their Jelly Black linear switches.

Currently using a Royal Kludge 100 key keyboard (RK 100). Typing and gaming became a better experience compared to my old membrane keyboards.

Helped alot to understand ❤

Zoom 65 v2 with banana splits and polycaps hippo. I put killmat in it and in the spacebar to reduce hollowness and I tape modded the pcb for thock.

When I first got a mechanical keyboard I would often accidentally hit keys because of how little the activation force is. Once I got used to that, it was worth it

Im currently using a custom keyboard, the leobog hi75, its aluminum and great for the price, that with some akko cs matcha greens and blue keycaps. It sounds wonderful

Long long ago... there were calulators that have good spacing for decent button sizes... there were mushy/clicky/silent keyboards with good number-pads. There is a slight curvature to compensate for number row and different stroke for function row and space-size to compensate for wrist-angles... the click trigger is tactile-feedback but tactile-feebpdback can be had without high-pitched bright-sounding clicky-clicks. Many pianists had improved on their martial-arts and can go back to diss the boards...

I use the Cherry max g80 3000n tkl rgb, it’s a Cherry mx keyboard that has silent red switches, which almost sounds like membrane but it’s quiet and mechanical, and it has customizable rgb.

I love the idea of a mechanical keyboard, and would love to get one for gaming, but they are all so loud!! Are there any mechanical keyboards out there with the same sound as a regular keyboard?

Razer Huntsman TKL V2 with the red linear optical switches. I'm using it right now. VERY quite. My wife was complaining that my other mechanical keyboard was too loud. My computer is in a shared space. If my kid is banging away on the keyboard it makes it hard to watch TV in the same room without having the volume turned way up. I have tried the Steel Series Apex 3 which is a membrane board. It's pretty good and damn near silent. After a visit to Best Buy where I got my hands on the Huntsman I decided to try it out as well. It's just a TINY bit louder than the Apex 3, but just barely. My issue with the Apex was the height. It is was quite a bit taller than the board I was used to using. It made it difficult, but not impossible, to find a comfortable position for use while gaming. The Huntsman is actually pretty thin for a mechanical board. I haven't decided which board I'm going to keep yet.

silent, linear, and tactile switch's exist bud, which are VERY nice and quiet, not even mechanical keyboard is clicky

I'm using a mechanical one, and the one I currently use is an AULA F75 with TTC Crescent mechanical switches, since AULA doesn't have the original LEOBOG Reapers in stock. The sound of the keyboard honestly kind of sucks though, since most of the mechanical switches "lost" the factory lube, including the stabilizers. I want to get a custom one day, but I'm just too poor.

My first one was a normal redgear shadowblade with blue clicky switches My current one is of an Indian brand called kreo Its also a custom cherry max blue keyboard (rgb) My fav part about this keyboard is that it only costs around 30$ but it gives you rgb, a volume knob and freakin hotswappable options And its usb c Its just One the best if not the best out there

I prefer regular (or laptop) keyboard overall because they're quiter. And since they're not so customizable, they'll save me more money 😂

i think you should get a mechanical, membranes are quite loud, if you dotn like the loudness get linear or silent aybe even tactie switches with mechanical switches, if you wont thats okay

opticial is lireally mechanical. MEbrane is a keycap over a dome, anything else is mechanical

dude not all mechanical keyboards are clicky, there are silent switches, linear switches, and tactile switches which are way quieter then membranes i guess you should get silent switches as you hate sound

yup, linear switches feel the best and alot of gamers use them, if you want a tactile bump get tactile switchs, trust me, do not get clickies only if you want to destroy you're eardrums or you just enjoy the click

Sorry if this is too late but you’ll most likely be able to, most keyboard switch have a cross design for the keycap to fit onto so as long as it has that it’ll fit.
