Those are Sea Salt silent switches, which are nice and quiet but does feel slightly mushy, almost like a sturdier membrane board

Wish I could use a mechanical keyboard, but it would need to be built into the desk due to my nerve damage (woke up with ulnar tunnel entrapment one day, not a great time, still have complications even post surgery).

I bet those switches feel similar to the Outemu grey silent tactile TOMs. They make next to no sound, but feel kinda soft when you type on it.

Blue switches are great. The clicky sound is awesome. Although it does sound better when you record it as opposed to IRL

​@@reaver4636I hate blues, it's not that they are loud, it's beacuse they aren't clicky. Look at the definition of a click,"short, sharp sound as of a switch being operated or of two hard objects coming quickly into contact." Which, mx blue are rattley like bones not a sharp click like Alps.

it's like with coffee - people try to extract something new and nice. Previously burned coffee with charcoal and mustiness was the only option, now specialty coffee strives to get sweet, acidic and unique tastes. A while ago, a mechanical keyboard with blue switches was considered as something cool, now people go for these thocky switch models. Also, I personally prefer topre's analogue - Niz switches. I really think, it deserves more recognition

I hate when people are so reckless when handling things. Goes to show how ungrateful they are for little things that they have.

I want that sound it is so satisfying

I love the loud (optica?)blue switches on my hp omen keyboard. Because whatever I do hearing the sounds is so clicky and loud makes me feel like I am actually doing something important. However I do live alone when one time my friend stayed over and the room isn’t that close to where I was, he came to me and asked me if I could use any other keyboard if I even had quieter ones (he knew i had multiple) So I started using a quiet one when someone is staying over. I knew that it was loud but not that much the blue switches I think are optical maybe is the difference. Its like a baby crying doesn’t matter how many wall walls separate you you will hear that scream.

Looks like it was manufactured in the 80s for office workers who used ibms.

I’m not much of a pc gamer but when I do I like to hear that sound. I feel like subconsciously there’s something that helps me memorize things better based on the slight difference in distance of sound. This keyboard just feels like a “it’s 3am and I want to work on something but not wake up my wife” type keyboard. Little bias though cause I’m prob more audiophile than most
