Should start a Chester Index. If someone scores less than the Chester index, they have to donate 100 dollars to a charity also.

When my son was a freshman in high school, he came home mad because he had to write a paper on the Mojave dessert. He pronounced it just as it's spelled... Mo Jave

What we call moose, most places call elk. I believe moose is Alqonqin word. Elk (in the European "moose" sense) had been extirpated in Great Britain, and had shifted to mean "big deer." The Siberian version of elk is, in fact, often known as wapiti!

You can’t get the bends from breath hold diving .

once while sorting a backlash a 16 inch cutthroat that was swimming nearby circled and came right between my legs and picked up my lure from the bottom while I was trying to untangle the line ...I don't know how but I hooked and landed that fish

Does the Bends happen with free divers? Which is what most people do for spearfishing

Decompression sickness does not apply to spearfishermen (or freedivers) but rather SCUBA. Shallow water blackout (or samba) is the fear of freedivers so I see the mixup

The decompression sickness question was off. Most spearfisherman are free diving, but the bends come from scuba diving.

@@arborgonetreeservice1315 I’m glad you can copy and paste from google, but it doesn’t happen in free divers. You would have to make a ridiculous amount of dives with basically no surface interval. It’s not a concern in free diving.

Spearfishing question. I don't believe the Benz really applies during free dives. More so with scuba. More common in free diving in shallow water blackout

You can get the bends during free dives depending on the depth you dove and how fast you came back to the surface.

  • @Sparks00psn

@@fireguymelmore often it’s from repeated dives. In any case it is extremely rare for a breathhold dive to result in DCS. They simply do not on gas enough nitrogen for it to be an issue compared to breathing compressed air while at depth like scuba
