Absolutely! Now at 68 yo, I remember Meat Loaf singing this great song live in concert in 1977 in Toronto, Canada. He was a rock/opera powerhouse vocalist! What an artist, a true LEGEND!! May he RIP. 🙏 ❤

As Meatloaf said, he was an actor who could sing. He is permanently on my playlist, but every now and then, I have to see him in a live video to recall his passion on stage. RIP Meatloaf, may your songs never die.

My disabled mother, despite barely being able to speak a full sentence uninterrupted, can sing along to Meatloaf and Queen word for word. Singing along the way you'd expect a teenager from the 70's to do so (loud and enthusiastic).

Yes! Me too. My folks and their card playing friends rocked this many a night in my youth. Keep it going!

Meat had a voice like no other, I'm 59 and the music he and and Jim Steinman created together are a huge part of the hits that created the soundtrack to my life and for the people in my generation. He took us from teenagers well into our adult years, all the way back to Rocky Horror up until now. His music will be loved by future generations as well!

I'm 26, I remember being 10 years old in my dad's car when he was in a shop, I thought I'd put one of his cds in, it was the bat out of hell album, been hooked ever since. Meat Loaf is the reason I love all types of rock music, and he has had such a huge influence on what I listen to. May he rest in peace 🙏 Legend.

He was a wild, theatrical and over the top full energy showman, especially in his younger days when he was a big man and got the nickname meat loaf because of it. If you can, look up some of his old concert footage from that first tour, it's amazing and powerful stuff live!

Had the album and listened to it on a Pioneer turntable and La Scala speakers. Good times.

Saddened to hear the big man is gone physically. Iwas 19 when this man helped make the 70`s a great decade, Wild and free. If only i could go back to that era now Thank you Meatloaf

To me, meatloaf is the greatest of all time. I’m 29 but was lucky enough to see him in 2013, it may have been at the end of his career but I will forever cherish the fact I got to see him live. I will play this to my future children and grandchildren and meat loaf’s music will live forever ❤️

When I was 18 to 22 years of age and in college, we literally wore out the grooves on this piece of vinyl while I was in college. My roommate had this huge Pioneer stereo system that he paid like 2,000 bucks for which was a pretty insane sound system back in the late 70's...especially for a college kid. We played this album as loud as that thing would go. When I think back on all the great albums we had at that time, it's unbelievable how great the music was. These were a pretty steady playlist for us in those days: Bat out of Hell...Meatloaf, Breakfast in America...Supertramp, Boston...Boston, The Grand Illusion...Styx, Spectres...Blue Oyster Cult, Live Bullet...Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band, Infinity...Journey, Allied Forces...Triumph, The Wall...Pink Floyd. Man the list goes on and on. These albums are all late 70's/early 80's and every one of them are awesome from start to finish. If you are getting into music from this era, you should check any of these out.

Just smoked a joint, was listening to the CD, and glad I came here for the video. I was going to Michigan Comic Con when COVID hit, cancelling a photo op with Meat Loaf and Alice Cooper together. Never going to have that chance. Rest in Peace. Meat Loaf. In 1977, you were magic.

RIP to my childhood, to the days of incredible music and even more incredible musicians. These are times that when we lose people like this, I lose a piece of myself as well. May our fractured memories rest in peace with the incredible people that gave them to us.

I discovered this album along with Boston's first in 77' or 78' when I was 14 or 15 years old and ditching school 😁, on a BEAUTIFUL sunny, warm southern California day. I would go into my sisters room, go thru her album collection and pick out albums to play which looked "Kool"!! This album cover was KKOOOOOLLLLL! Great 70's memories. Love you Meat❤. RIP with our Lord and Savior❤❤❤❤❤.

Yes, especially here that applies. His dad was horrible. He had to fight hard to get his music heard. He couldn't find anyone to believe a fat kid, could sell concerts tickets.

An artist of the voice, he marched to a different drummer, who became an icon for not going mainstream, but parallels that trajectory on an off beat way, his voice and talent is the sound of an entire generation, kids that came to age in the 80s, rest in peace

What a great album. Every track is an anthem. No fanny merchant stuff here, just pure unadulterated hard rock!

He is one of the very few who was uber famous and had fallen into near obscurity only to return a decade later Nd have a second completely separate round of complete iconic-ness. Not too many like that. Aerosmith is another. Amazing when you consider 99.999999% of us will never get a first round of fame. Lightning struck twice for this guy, for sure.

@@What-ks9co Without Steinman, Meatloaf is talented but he would not of been famous... Meat's album without Steinman failed miserably... They patched things up later on and Meat sang a few songs from Jim's solo project, "Bad For Good".

Same here I'm 56 I was at boarding school when it was released. We had it one cassette, by the end of the year we'd knackered about copies of it. It's still in my all time top 10 albums of all time. There's not one weak song on the whole album.

One of my biggest regrets is I never saw him live in concert. This man was pure emotion in his presentation and in a class all his own. Bet you are rocking them angels-- screw that harp music! You are missed down here on earth--never to be forgotten!

Rest in Peace and may perpetual light shine upon you Meatloaf, such a classic song! Condolences to his family! Another legend gone!

Godspeed Meatloaf. What a fantastic voice this man had. Like no other. Love Bat out of Hell. This man did everything at 110 mph, he was all heart. 🥺

Absolutely the best ever. I'm 66 and the best album ever.

Not many singers / if any could sing & act at the same time Meatloaf was one of very few who had this incredible, exstrodiny, amazing TALENT.

Jim Steinman was an incredible songwriter & Meat brought Steinman's songs to life. One of the best teams in rock are gone...but NOT FORGOTTEN. RIP guys. You are missed.

The first time I ever heard this song was when I was at a disco in the 70s. I’ve loved it and Meatloaf since that night. RIP Meatloaf.

Meatloaf is the only rocker I know of that can wear suspenders and still look like a rocker. I'm 62 now and can still sing along every word. Stone cold classic.

Cue one big double-take from yours truly! But all's well... in England we call them 'braces'. Suspenders are rather different (look it up!)

His voice tho….. my god… it still gives me chills and I still feel every word and every emotion those words conjure up and I’m 56. Love him.. an awesome talent and was born to be on the stage. He served us well. He will be missed but boy what a footprint he left… he will continue to live on in the hearts of folks like me who will rock his music till I can’t rock no more! Rest easy Meatloaf… ❤️

Well....we just had it better. Any type of music was played and more freedom to try different things. Since what 2000. The new music has no where to go..hence all these shows that have new singers singing old songs ect. We win. Now im stopping my babbling and go reenjoy this somg cause this just drips hot summer nights.

Saw Meat live in England in 94,96,99, Back when I was 16, 18 and 21. I miss those days, the amount of effort Meat puts into his live shows is incredible. I was deaf and had ringing in my ears for about 3 days after every live event. I must have every album except for Meat Loaf and stoney, I need that. Look at how hard bands worked back then to get famous or recoginised and now you see these manufactured shyte flooding the charts re-releasing old classics that they never wrote and they can't even play instruments.. Where did effort and the love for music go?

RIP Meatloaf and his BFF Jin Steinman…two musical geniuses!

This vid was shot during the Bat Out Of Hell Tour back in 79, Loaf & the gang rolled into Boston and played in the Orpheum Theatre (a 2200 seat old-style opera house) using his outdoor stadium soundsystem, 4 stacks on either side of the stage standing 35-40 tall, myself and 4 buddies were belly-up jambed against the stage as the crowd surged to get closer, opening the show with his signature song Bat Out Of Hell he burst onto the stage atop a Harley Soft tail spun about 3 doghnuts stepped off the bike and let it careen off the back of the stage into the arms of the Roadies, to this day it was THE loudest show I have ever attended, my ears rang for days! RIP big fella there will never be anything quite like you ever again!

How this man made it to 74, I will never know. If you were lucky enough to see him live back in the late 70s and early 80s, by the ends of his concerts he had given so much of himself he looked like he would drop dead on the spot. He put on some of the greatest concerts I've ever, ever seen. Rest easy, Mr. Loaf.

I was a baby in the 70's, but I saw him in 2012 and he still did the same thing. He was an amazing performer. There will never be another like him. 💔

Wife and I were blessed to see him in the 90’s. Out of the 6-7 bands that night he was by far the best. It was just like the videos. He will be missed. RIP

His death took the words out of our mouths, along with the breath. He always gave us goosebumps when we listen to his songs, and did a lot for a lot of people. He had a heart of gold that could never be mined, RIP Meat Loaf, gone but never forgotten!

I was in his consert when he was in stockholm on the 80, i love him.

RIP to a legend. I used to sit with a little cassette listening to his songs over and over again as a child. My parents loved his music and I fell in love with it. Brings back great moments of singing it in the car with my mum who is no longer here also

I can SO, SO relate to you, sweetheart!! Everything you've said...I can relate to, I can feel it and remember it! 😥 I think you're in the UK, yes? I LOVE it there, and lived there for a very brief time in the early 90's...Meatloaf takes me back to my childhood, in the 70's, and to a time that , although it, in reality was not that innocent, at least FELT innocent - unlike nowadays, when the US is boiling over with psychotic, conspiracy theory driven freaks who THINK they prefer Autocracy - and are itching to use their guns on the rest of us to try and make that happen - because they're so oblivious to the fact that they're being used and manipulated that they are, literally, BLIND to the fact that, should our democracy crumble, the Autocratic government that will follow will be just as horrific for them and as awful to their lives as it will be for those of us who are desperately terrified of it and who've spent their/our lives trying to vote, protest and do acts of activism against it! OMG! I'M SO SORRY, SWEETHEART!!🙏 Please, excuse my tangent! It's just that my memories of listening to Meatloaf when my older Sis would babysit me in the mid 70's , while my parents would be out on a Saturday night, with the doors all open in our house, and the warm summer air so lovely....it was just so, so different than today.... Meatloaf ALWAYS takes me back to that! The song - HIS version (so much better than Celine Dion's version!) - "its all coming back to me now"n just turns on my faucet and makes me cry like crazy! Anyway, sweetheart, I'm so sorry - even though we are strangers - for the loss of your mom - sorry, mum, and I wish you comfort. I also wish you Happiness, Joy, Love, Abundance and Safety and Good Health for you and all of your family and friends, throughout the New Year and beyond! 🙏 Enjoy your beautiful country, as well! I am so envious! My husband and I have decided that, if at all possible (i.e., if we will be accepted..), if/when our country and it's democracy collapses, or even if it doesn't, once our financial situation allows for us to do more than vacation there, that we'd like to move to the UK. We've both always loved other countries, (I've lived in a few, for short times), have mostly foriegn friends and both have multiple family members who are ex-pats, and live in various countries - from Eastern and Western Europe, to South and Southeast Asia, including, but not only, India and China and other East Asian Countries, to Latin America... including South America, i.e. Argentina, Mexico - and, to me, England always felt so "right"...like the place in which I should have been born, to begin with. It would be nice, however, if we could, simply, CHOOSE to go to live there...as opposed to RUN there, because of a collapsing democracy and/or a civil war...🙏 Anyway, sorry, again, for the tangent! SMH! Please, have a beautiful day! I hope its not raining too badly there!
