I don’t think the examples given (other than the interview with Larry David) were bad, but I’ve heard other negative stuff about him too. Some might be justified but it seems he’s generally not a great person. Idk if he belonged on this list though.

Not a single sane person would suggest that a woman should’ve accepted a hug from a man that she didn’t recognize just because she got approached by him. Not talking about his closest friends like Rob Schneider, David Spade, John Torturro or even Jennifer Aniston, but Al Pacino, Johnny Depp, Christopher Walken, Harvey Keitel and many more. I've been lucky enough to meet Post Malone and Keanu Reeves, and both of them are some of the most amazing people I have ever met. I ran into Post on the street in November last year before he did his concert in Sydney, we talked for about 10 minutes about music, video games and other shared interests, he even showed me a sample of a new song he was working on and asked for my opinion on it. Honestly such a fantastic humble dude. With Keanu I met him back in 2014 when me and my family took a trip around America, I was only 8 at the time and I didn't know who he was, He walked into a café that we were having lunch at and said hello in a friendly down to earth way to everyone including my parents and me. I appeal to The Shaq more out of most of my favorite stars of any kind, because even though his title character Kazaam is fictional, he got to pour some of his real self into his character, this really helps to show that a even a spirit-like deity like a Genie could have multiple layers that makes himself as human as any mortal, and I have also heard a little bit on live t.v. once about how charitable he was, but of course I was a teenager at the time so, I never stick around for live tv for very long. Yea, I am glad that he is one of my two favorite NBA Legends.

Similarly, celebrities while fortunate only because of us, do not need to serve our every request. Obviously don't be an Ellen, but it is not necessary nor should it be expected for everyone to be Keanu Reeves (even though he is my favorite on this list)

Interesting to include Seinfeld. He declined hugging someone he didn't know (he is allowed to set his boundaries) he riffed on Larry King which was totally warranted and expected for a comic to respond that way, and was upset over a famous person acting like an ass and being upgraded.....notice it was never against the fans or public? I met him after he did 4 shows at the paramount in seattle, it was like 1am and a group had gathered to see about getting an autograph when he left. He walked out, dropped his bags, greeted everyone and just walked into the crowd (pissing off his security) and signed and talked for a good 30 minutes, made sure everyone got an autograph, said thanks everyone and took off. @@wubbalubbadubdub5867 How do you know this? You'd have to literally have a personal relationship with him to say that him being nice to fans is a facade. I feel like him not wanting to hug Kesha is totally within his rights, some people aren't huggers. He's a bit mean ofc, but that's also kind of his thing. On Seinfeld he is literally just playing himself, that's kind of his entire bit. He's not a bad guy, but he's not a super nice guy. I think there's a difference between being kind and understanding and being polite. He can be rude and snarky, but that doesn't mean he wouldn't go out of his way to help a friend or be there for someone in need. The dude does a ton of charity work with his wife. I think it's a stretch to say that he's a bad dude just because he's mean. Some people just aren't nice, they're dry and sarcastic, but that doesn't discredit the good things he does do. It gives you a reason not to like the person of course, but doesn't make that person objectively bad like some of the other examples here.

For instance, a good friend of mine had the opportunity to go to the Cannes Film Festival years ago. He was at one of the event's bars talking with other documentary filmmakers about how if he could just find the money he would be able to finish his first film. Somebody must have overheard because that night he got a knock at his door. It was Harvey Weinstein's personal assistant with a check for $10,000 - no strings attached. Apparently Weinstein just liked the concept of my friend's film and wanted help get it made.

I was a Law Enforcement officer for 34 years and got to meet alot of famous people during that time. One of my all time favorite actors (as far as personality) is Corbin Bernsen from LA Law, Major League, etc.. We were filming a two hour "In the Heat of the Night" special and it had gotten quite cool as it got dark. I was shivering as Corbin, Carrol O'Connor, Hugh O'Connor and I were talking. Corbin just walked away but returned a couple minutes later with a Sparta police coat from the wardrobe trailer, handed it to me and said "dude I can't stand to see you freezing"... awesome guy. I loved working security for them.

Robert Redford should be on this list for being an absolute legend. I met while he was filming The Conspirator in my town. My mom and I were playing tennis and he showed up to play. We got off the court to make room for him and he asked us to come back and play against him. At the time, my mom and I played competitively in our area, and when he realized we were going a little easy on him, he told us to stop giving him the celeb treatment. Well long story short, we whooped his ass and as a thank you for the game, he bought us dinner and drinks, then invited us to come by the set the next day while he filmed. Was a pretty cool experience to meet an absolute legend of an actor who just wanted an honest game of tennis.

Afterwards he signed stuff (none of us knew he was coming, so he just signed our programs) and took pictures. The one story I know of Jerry Seinfeld was when he was doing a comedy show in my town. His opening act was a local magician who did a pretty killer job and mixed in some good jokes with the magic, really got the crowd going. When Jerry took the stage, his first five minutes was just ragging on magicians, saying they're creepy, terrible people, just mean stuff. Around half the audience got up and left during this tirade, and a decent chunk continued to leave during the show which he ended early. Through friends, we heard he went backstage and asked the magician what happened. The magician explained he had told his family he was opening for Jerry Seinfeld and they were so excited they bought a bunch of tickets and brought their friends and families too. Jerry yelled at the magician for not telling him how many people his opening act knew were there instead of giving any sort of apology or just acknowledging that ripping on your opening act is just a shit way to conduct yourself, especially when they do a great job and help your show nearly sell out.

What a shame and a surprise about Mike meyers. 😢 the people who get punished for eye contact or talking are the worst celebs!

My grandfather served at olive garden in Orlando back when olive garden was good and still a fledgling company. He served many, many celebrities. Two stand out in my memory, Bill nye, and Jay Leno. He said Bill was a prick the whole time and stiffed him out of a tip. Jay Leno he said was extremely rude and condescending. That one hurts because he would let me stay up with him and watch the tonight show (now I realize he wanted a buddy to giggle with while he was baked) but he actually almost cried when he was telling my grandma about the experience. He held Leno is high esteem and it was just heartbreaking.

Met Shaq my childhood hero at a restaurant in Newark NJ called John's place (unfortunately closed now) when I was 12. I couldn't believe it was him and I couldn't stop staring. He asked my Dad if I played basketball because I was a tall kid and I did. My father said yes, and he invited me to his summer camp. He even went to pay for our meals, but his bodyguard went to school with my Dad and his bodyguard said you don't have to pay for their meals his Dad is a lawyer. (Lmao) My Dad was pissed at this comment but didn't let it show, in the end Shaq paid for our meals and gave me his autograph. One of my greatest childhood memories thanks Shaq. R.I.P DAD

Sandler being a decent guy just makes me so pleased, he defies the don't meet your heroes saying, he's an awesome guy to fans and great to work with and is a very good friend. The man is what we expect the standards of all our fav celebs but almost all could never possibly live up to. It's incredible he's so humble after three plus decades of fame.

Honorable mention for nicest celebrities is Terry Crews. I saw a story where someone went to his dorm in college during a party and asked him to turn his music down, and he politely agreed. Also the way he treats contestants on America’s Got Talent and the positive things they say about him.

Treating paparazzi rudely doesn’t make you bad imo. They are in your face for years snapping pictures, I’d probably be a little rude at times too. Also not wanting a stranger to hug you doesn’t mean you’re even remotely bad lol. Also there is a huge difference between being cancelled and choosing to end your own show. Guy was justified in these moments at least
