For my senior year of high school, I went to prom just to have fun before graduation. I didn’t care about the crown

Believe it or not, most high schools these days allow both juniors and seniors (11th and 12th grade) to prom and they might allow sophomores (10th grade) to prom if a junior or senior has invited them. It all depends on the school, but most high schools these days have two proms.

@KeKe Channel I agree. To be honest, the whole competition with winning homecoming/prom king and queen is exaggerated and mostly seen in movies for entertainment. In reality it’s different. During my high school days, we had the prom/homecoming nominations. But there was never any fights and resentment related to this. People voted and nominees won, but it wasn’t made into a big deal. I went to prom and homecoming in high school but I honestly don’t remember who won king and queen nor did I even vote.
