Meals on Wheels - Aged Care Service Types in Australia

What's included or excluded under the CHSP service type Meals on Wheels or Delivered Meals? In this video, Carrie covers the sort of assistance someone might receive through Meals on Wheels, the scope and the limitations of the service. This is also useful for people with a Home Care Package as many of the same limitations and intent are similar.
The information in this video is current as at August 2022, however, the industry is undergoing reform so if you want to stay up to date you can read up on the CHSP and HCP programs and access relevant manuals on the Department of Health and Aged Care website.
For organisations with a subscription to the CDCS Total Quality Package, you'll find the downloadable 'Info Share' for staff education, and a similar 'Fact Sheet' you can share with your clients - helping to avoid confusion and explaining the service type clearly.
If you are an aged care organisation seeking access to cost-effective, industry-specific resources that will help you and your organisation meet and exceed the Aged Care Quality Standards and make your job easier, like:
- done-for-you policies and procedure templates for both residential and home care,
- tools and resources to help with assessment and writing care plans, or
- aged care-specific toolbox talks and info shares like the one described in this video,
as well as having access to live fortnightly online training, then check out CDCS’s resource hub at culturallydirectedcaresolutio...
