In 2005 he showed us how to play LIKE a machine [actually much more than that, but the quality of music and sound on a live concert was like that of music produced on a computer] performing live with his band Nerve at the Modern Drummer Festival and in 2023 he showed us how to play WITH a machine [in the meantime educating the drummers around the world with his Secret Weapons for the Modern Drummer dvd 1 and 2, not to mention tons of his performance videos on the net, but the dvds are strictly educative, plus cooperating with top drumming companies to provide drummers with better and better equipment] I mean, like c'mon, not only his music makes you think about like a milion things, but also his words, not only here, again [because every single interview he gives is super inspiring] More artists like this, that's what I wish for the world, actually, when it comes to art and it's functions [check as much of content with him as you can, I super strongly recommend doing that] Thank you, Mr Jojo Mayer! Thanks to you and your work I have become many times better as a drummer, musician and generally - as a human - with a totally different perception on many things!

Jojo has inspired my style of playing and general approach to composition and improvisation, and I've always adored his respect for technology, but more importantly his awareness of how and when to collaborate with technology to enhance our position. He is a philosopher at heart which, in many ways, is why his view of the world and style of playing was so original 🤘

Okay so first off I have to say he's my favorite drummer. And he has been since I saw him in 2005. But I Don't quite understand fully what's going on here. So from what I gather she's basically just hitting go on some sort of AI musical system/program. As he plays at a certain tempo, The AI is spitting out random musical things that he's having to improv around. If that's true what program is he using and how is he doing that electronically?!
