This movie is great, with an amazing plot and beautiful meaning. But the most important reason why the movie strucked with its audience is because of the actors that successfully portrayed the characters to be so lively yet complex and real, making the audiences feel, love, laugh and cry together with the characters.

I love how he describes how ppl usually interact with those such as myself with a disability as opposed to how Lou does. She never talks down to or like a child.

Such a lovely film,so sad, because the love that they were able to share would have given him a life with a few more years if he had been able to understand that love conquers all and that his disabilities terrible though they were would not have destroyed the relationship.The saddest thing is that the disabled person cannot accept being unable to live as they always have, heartbreaking

Anybody read the actual book? I listened to it on audiobook. It is based on a book , many of you dont seem to know that. The characters are portrayed in film very similar to the ones in the book. It is really a great job done in film.

Agree to all of this! Perhaps it's because of his current roles and upcoming films. But I seriously think he needs to gain weight again. He looks worryingly thin and yes, his current weight has aged him. Also, I hope he's not going through some health issues. I remember Chadwick Boseman was super underweight while he was battling cancer and hiding that info from the public. But still, we love you Sam!

At the very beginning of the movie I screamed "OH MY GOD ITS HUGH GRANT!" because the angle at the beguining made him look just like him!
