2 big positives to take from the game. Firstly, Holte End atmosphere was great (I'm K2), obviously dips after going behind but there was clearly a big step up in getting behind the team. Secondly, the performance. Even though we lost the way we played was our best since the Arsenal game, we've got Pau and Konsa to come back into the team and I'm confident of a strong finish to the season. UTFV

I was at the game and it was so frustrating how we have lost that we were much the better side but missed some great chances and they took theirs. We have 3 winnable games coming up in the next couple of weeks and we need to win those anyways we move on UTV VTID

Football is a cruel game at times, after equalising I thought we would go on and win it and we certainly have the chances only for United to score the late winner that they didn't really deserve. But to the victor the spoils. I hope that lads don't get too down because this was a better performance than Chelsea or Newcastle so we need to keep supporting them and get back in the groove for the run in because there is still plenty to play for.

Olie Watkins needs to spend a week infront of Martinez trying to beat a goalkeeper, learning where and how, to put the ball in the back of the net, to beat the keeper. We lost because we didnt convert our chances into goals. United did, they didnt play well, but they scored more, and we didnt, At the end of the day the team that scores the most of its chances wins, its very simple, not rocket science. We can be the best team on the day with more possession, more chances created, and all the stats in the world, but its all about balls in the back of the net. Full stop.

Villa is always a banker for United! So many great trips to Villa since the early 70's and some great semi final days there! Soft spot for Villa though, massive club, great fans and favourite away ground! Villa played well, but you're up for it because it's United and it just didn't happen for you ! Wish I had a quid for every time United should have had double figures and it didn't happen, especially in Fergies days .

Very good performance if we play to that standard till the end of the season top 5 no problem one fault couldn't understand subbing Bailey when we had them by the balls.

Thus was a defeat hard to take. All the other loses this season we were 2nd best but this one was unlucky! Keep the faith!

That's three times we've lost at Villa Park in a row now! How we didn't snatch a win or get a draw in the end I do not know?

Frustrating one… We at least deserved a draw from the game. On a positive, we put up more of a performance than the previous games.

Played well and were the better team by far. Top 4 is on the cards no matter what other people say. Keep the positive attitude up and supporting till the end. UTV

Pleased with the performance after the last two home games but its just always the same against Man Utd. As a Villa fan for over 40 years unless we can turn things around soon i worry that this has 98/99 written all over it. 40 points off 20 games and to finish up 6th with 57 points. Come on the Villa. I have been a fan of Villa since 1995 and in fairness Man United always manage to beat us even when we play well. They just seem to get the lucky breaks every time its sickening but our record is really bad. I don't know why everyone is so surprised about this down turn in form the warning signs were there for over a month. I think we should forget the Europa conference league and just try and finish as high as we can top four is gone hard as it is to accept its gone it pains me to see spurs who I really dislike finish above us but they have momentum and players back from injury. We don't have the squad or the quality to keep this up things have got to change and fast otherwise we could end up midtable.

Good performance. Bad result. Needed to take more of our chances like we were doing at the start of the season at home. Injury to Pau came at a very bad time for us and we’ve been stuttering ever since. Need to regroup for Fulham, Forest, & Luton which are all winnable games. UTV.

Personally, I’m a fan of Dhuran! I appreciate he needs experience etc, but he has got a shot on him and he’s a hustler, who would have given Maguire a game. Has he gone or have we still got him?

There were a few tactical fouls admittedly but the ref gave them as fouls so you cant blame him. Besides matty cash and diaby attempted a few tacrical fouls but couldnt connect

Watkins was back to his normal worst today. He will never be an elite striker because he misses too many times whereas top class strikers only need one chance to grab the glory. Everything has to be laid on a plate for Watkins or he just ties himself in knots. He was also the one that played Hojland onside for Man Ure's first goal. Our defence had stepped out but Watkins was ball watching and didn't have a clue. We desperately need a good striker in the summer. The number of missed chances today (and not just from Watkins) highlights that fact.
