He didn't really destroyed him, but he overcame by really a little, being pretty impressive because we are talking about Ayrton Senna, a legend of motorsport. Mika is my favourite driver, because of the sportsmanship, the talent and the humor he has.

Hahahahaha. Almost like that. Senna went on to outqualify Mika for more than 1 second the next race. That's why Rosberg bring up that "of course, it didn't turn out very well" and Mika laughs hahahahaha. Great guys.

Nico's father..Keke Rosberg had a part in the rise of Mika Hakkinen in the Formula 1 ..he was Mika's manager..in the Lotus team.. :)

I liked the way he introduced himself. "Hi, I'm Mika" Yeah, just your average next door Mika. Such a humble guy. I wish he had won more world championships. But McLaren's reliability let him down a few times.

Mika looks like your typical chemistry teacher ... then you remember that he is a 2 time F1 champion! Great guy
You can always tell when talented drivers actually start really driving a car as Nico did briefly in the P1. They stop talking, the hand positions change along with body control but it's mostly in the eyes. It's not just how they shift where they focus corner to corner, it's also the intensity that seems to come to the surface. It's fascinating to watch I think.

Very unlike his former teammate. What is it about Germans? Him, Hulkenberg and Vettel seem so modest and down to earth. And their work ethic and dedication is outstanding!

I like your sarcasm. This so much not a vlog, but a well scripted video, with a videoproduction- crrew and a lot of preparation and editing. All being done with the single goal of putting and keeping pretty face Rosberg in business as a Brand name. I feel much more sympathy for Hakkinen.

rockzs74r I think all F1 drivers are generally bad passengers. I've seen a few videos where they're in the passenger seat on fast laps and they've always looked nervous. It's the lack of control. They're all control freaks and they're feeling the speed and being on the limit but without the being in control themselves they worry just like we would.

not only all of that, but they only get half the feedback from the car that the driver gets, his feet are not on the pedals, and his hands are not on the steering wheel, so all he has is is butt in the seat to tell him what the car is doing.

@@helenab9973 In my experience many of those who drive professionally themselves have trouble trusting others when they drive fast. They are used to being in control so "I'm not in control" makes them uncomfortable.

Mika was blindingly fast in the late 90’s. A gentleman’s champion, but also very exciting to watch. He totally ruled!
I loved how their eyes were looking in the same direction the whole time. Mika was in the passenger seat, but he was reading the road as if he was driving. Amazing video.

Hakkinen loved that guy still do what a gentleman funny and respectful person. I miss those days i was following him in f1 truly the best years of f1 till this guy retired. Rosberg is a cool dude top

It was a great qualy for Mika, but as I remember in the race Ayrton passed him at the first corner and was long gone.

It is torture for a F1 driver to get driven around in your own car on dusty roads by somebody who wants to prove himself. Nico should have shown more respect imo. Btw, Hakkinen would be a superb Bond villain.

Well the Schumacher era was quite the same than the actual Hamilton era. Excepted the fact that Botas is alowed to fight and win , Barrichello wasn't (really underrated driver btw, he could have win the Championship without the Ferrari instructions ) . But you're right, it was a damn good era !

First met Mika in 1991 as a guest of Lotus in Adelaide. As a young man at the time I was blown away by how humble and approachable he was. Took on the greats of Senna and Schumacher and emerged a two time champion. Fantastic video Nico. Keep up the good work.

just to get to f1 you have to be very good , no one who knows the sport can say no to that, it is a fact. now winning a championship , nowdays might be a thing of the car you are racing it. if winning it was based on pure driving excelence , raw talent , technique and experience , alonso would have somewhere around 6 championships by now

@@esaedvik 80s weren't very good for racing. Occasionally there used to be good races but that's about it. 97-13 was the absolute peak of F1. Racing was more than ever in that era.
That was awesome to watch. Great to see even the best don’t really grow up. Cue Mika “I love it!”

It's one of the happiest McLaren P1's out there I'm sure. Especially Nico's aggressive driving on public roads must've made the P1 blush a little. Great job Nico. 11 years in F1, now time for you to make the road-cars smile a little everyday!

That says nothing about his preferences in a racing/Formula 1 context, though. He commented on the car and that he likes it, but he didn't really get into how he ideally likes his race car which I believe is what Mika was asking.

AWESOME! It was great to see Mika again, he is one of my, if not my absolute favourite drivers of all time. Bringing him in to the vLog of one of my other favourites was a great combination.

This is my favourite, you guys rock it!!
The acceleration of the P1 is insane! Mike you are a star, I used to love watching you and Michael battling it out on the track. My best memory was that incredible overtaking move at Spa when you and Michael split Zonta on the straight. Now thats balls!
