McLaren M8B Restored | History in the Making
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Duncan Fox has an eye for detail and an eye for used McLaren parts. Rebuilding heritage McLaren race cars is his life’s work. This just-completed M8B - driven by Denny Hulme in the 1969 CanAm series - has been a 20-year process. Sometimes even the fastest things can’t be rushed.

Well done Duncan and all the rest of the contributors. An awesome car and awesome people behind this restoration.
The greatest race car ever!
Fabulous work, Duncan! It takes time to rebuild a masterpiece.
That's a fantastic effort, great to see it running. I hope it is not just a collector's show piece. Pointless if it's not going to be used on the track.
Brilliant! ❤
I've got photographs of it when it came back to New Zealand and was unloaded at Port of Tauranga

Do you mean the original M8B? Do the original cars still exist?
I loved this car when I was a kid. Couldn't wait to get my copy of Autoweek and read about the Can Am races. I had a HO Scale Slot Car so I could pretend to be Bruce and win every race. 🙂 Those were happy days.
Wonderful, wonderful. My retirement project will be building a street-able tribute. Just set up an aluminum casting area as the last capability needed in my workshop; I'm shop-ready a couple-years early.

Hello, what do mean by this comment? I am trying to figure out if the original M8B race cars still exist from 1969 or not. I saw them Race at Laguna Seca that year.
The earth is flat and man have never walked on the moon....
Longer videos of classic car builds please.... We know your multi millionaire establishment so spend money on promoting indepth kiwiana with some good old rednecks from the motorsports world... This would also lead into interviews and topical conversation with world famous drivers and riders .... Do it
