Zak kinda didn't know much about the japanese driver of that car, but Mr. Sekiya was i believe the first japanese driver to Win at Lemans, and he was a factory toyota driver who currently is a manager of the Tom's Racing organization in japan

so unreal to hear zak talk bout "the last win we had" at 25:42, having been filmed apparently before the 2021 itallian grand prix haha

Did you already forget his little spat with Otmar Szafnauer in 2019? Things are fine now since their closest rival, Ferrari, is still behaving well after their engine debacle. Nothing exposes a team like an incredibly close title fight.

he lost to schumer in 03 by a few points so they proly wont do much. he almost had 2 titles with them and could of taken all the points had the reliability been just a touch better. but losing to schumey/ferrari is just as good as a 1st to me

Zak has grown on me so much this past few years, Mclaren are getting back to where they should be, my first choice of supercar now

Tbf that's not all zak, hes the CEO of motorsport but the automotive CEO, Flewitt, is just as good

3:57 gulf mclaren was awesome. really wish we get to see that colour scheme again. its just iconic.

Zak Brown breaths motorsport, McLaren is very lucky to have him. Shame they had to remove the Marlboro branding from the 90's cars though, I get why, but you're still removing a piece of history

@@KCJbomberFTW I think its more a conflict of commercial interests. They are currently sponsored by Vype (BAT) so it doesn't make commercial sense to have Marlboro (Philip Morris) plastered all over your boulevard.

A 32 minute video has never gone by that fast. Love it. Props to the cameraman too...flawless navigation.

I doubted Zak when he was thrusted in charge of the once-mighty McLaren. I was wrong. He steered the ship in the right direction, hired the right people, and there's nowhere to go but up. I love his complete nerdiness when it comes to racing. the guy is a walking encyclopedia.

Yep same. I was kind of annoyed the way Ron was ousted as (love him or hate him) he was one of the last of the old school so I naturally doubted the credentials of a relatively 'unknown' American big shot in terms of keeping McLaren authentic, but Zak has far surpassed expectations. The progress since he joined is impressive and he's also made McLaren more 'fan-friendly'.

Amazing stunning tour. They're all my favourites, but the Prost, Senna F1's are my fave-faves as well.

When I first saw Zak I thought he was this smooth businessman, but he's so cool and has so much knowledge! My opinion changed over the years, especially after your vids, Jodie. And the last - so much knowledge - can be said about you too, miss Kidd. You know so much and your passion is infectuous. And I always adore the way ou dress.

Denny Hulme driving the 1972 M19 that is shown at 9:30 finished 3rd in the 1972 World Championship, which represented a huge improvement for McLaren over the 1971 F1 season. Denny won the 1972 South African GP in the M-19A. So I wouldn't slag the season. Maybe Zak is discussing the M-19C version which did not win a race. But I am sure, recent vintage McLaren would be super happy with a 3rd place finish in the driver's World Championship.

Some great history there and now another racing winning F1 car to add to the collection……there’s just something extra special about McLaren (and Williams come to that) that the other F1 teams just don’t have, I think it’s that they came from the pure love of racing compared to some other teams that were racing to sell more road cars.

It is incredible!

For me the two purest rear engined Grand Prix cars in the history of open wheel racing are the Repco-Brabham BT19 and the McLaren MP4/4. Stunning cars that were stunningly successful. And credit to Ron Dennis who presided over McLaren's Golden Era in F1 racing seeing ATGs Lauda, Prost, Senna and Hamilton win WDC Titles in McLaren F1 cars. The MTC is the culmination of the Ron Dennis dream as well.

As a kiwi its humbling to see Bruce's legacy carried on. We had a festival for Bruce here in nz a few years ago and seeing the can ams he raced against from around the world coming to little nz and racing at Hampton Downs was amazing to see.

Stunning cars a ton of history and a great tour by Mr Brown. He certainly doesn't waste much time listening...

I like Zak, he actually gives you a story behind each car. Doesn’t hide the history, good or bad he tells it. I loved when he mentioned Fernando Lewis and how he’s glad he wasn’t around for it.

Seeing how much cars including F1 / race cars have changed over say the last 50-60 years, coupled with changes to materials and manufacturing tech, I can’t even begin to imagine how cars would look and drive like in the next 50-60 😯🤯 Fantabulous film as always…and thanks to Zak Brown and all at the MTC for building and sharing such exquisite machines with the world 🙏🙏

I am so glad Zak showed up in McLaren when he did. He definitely changed he trajectory of the race team and their success. He seems like a really chill guy too!

Love it! I was in awe when I toured the race car museum in South Philly. I would have to constantly picking my jaw off the ground with a tour of this place!

Superb as usual.. Had a longtime family friend in the 80,s that was a mechanic for James Hunt and Alain Prost & Nikki Lauda …. Used to visit the old McLaren F1 hq… used to get loads of goodies !,,, great days … had a bbq qt his house with all the greatest drivers of-the 80,s present …. Great memories
