Robust Connectivity
Fixed analogue stereo outputs are available in both balanced and unbalanced offerings. A coaxial and optical output are also available if you prefer to send the digital audio signal to an external DAC, preamplifier or home theatre processor. All analogue plus the digital coax outputs are gold plated or superior corrosion resistance.
Twin Lasers for Twice the Speed
The MCD350 features 2x read speed, so that all discs placed in its rigid aluminum die-cast tray are read at higher speeds. This allows their data to be stored in a buffer memory for a better error correction and tracking. A twin laser optical pickup uses a single objective lens with two laser units each employing different wavelengths that are optimized for SACD and CD playback.

I'm on a roll... I grabbed this unit today, couldn't get over the size of the box, and the weight of the player - I almost want to open it to see why it's so heavy! Most important part, it sounds great :)

Yes, amazing packaging....clearly designed to ensure it arrives in perfect condition. And - Yes, these players sound sooooooo good

Bigger than big
Out of all the brands and cd players, in your store,which player is your favorite or preferred....? And have you seen and or heard McIntosh s mcd12000 yet.... ?

Favorite... We have to define a budget. Entry level - NAD C-538, then Arcam CD-S50. As a CD player that makes a perfect CD transport for later DAC's the Yama CD-S1000. Up the food chain is the Atoll CD-100 sig etc. The best I have heard and sold is the McIntosh MC-D600 (stunning). We are yet to see the MCD-12000 in NZ (it is $28,000 NZD)

@TLPCHC as u know by now....I have lots of cd players...have all current Yamaha players and other players.... mcd600 didn't work out for me and turned it back in.... thank you for responding sir..... Yamaha.... !
Plastic or metal loading tray.... ?

In this model it is plastic. But it only loads the disk in to the clamp, so it does not matter if its plastic.
